Glory blushed a little when she realized that her tail was mirroring his. She snuggled closer to him.

"I love you," she murmured softly.

Léan still had yet to admit it in words. 'I care,' had been the closest he'd gotten. He regarded her for a moment with semi-frightened eyes, and then he calmed himself down, pressing their foreheads together gently.

"...I love you, too."

Glory couldn't help but smile and hug him.

"Thanks," she said. "I needed to hear it."

Léan looked embarrassed again. He wasn't one for lovey-dovey words. "You are welcome." He spoke gruffly, a little huffily. He was teasing, of course.

Glory knew he was teasing and grinned, resting her head on his shoulder. She was comfortable at the moment, and she didn't want to move. She wasn't even cold, though she knew it was absolutely freezing above the surface.

Léan, now that he felt it was appropriate, absently wrapped his tail around her and back towards him the other way, in the same odd hold he'd held her in before. It was a protective hold. He rested his head against hers, contently. "I will have to teach you how to swim and hunt. And control the Song Of The Siren."

"Alright," Glory said, cuddling closer to him. She would learn whatever he wanted to teach her. She wouldn't have asked him to change her if she wasn't willing to go all the way.

"I think swimming is first...obviously," Léan noted, dryly, with a wry grin. "The other two can come after, in whichever order you wish."

"Right," Glory giggled. She was glad he'd loosened up enough to joke around a bit. "Now we have the whole rest of the weekend to ourselves."

Léan's face lit up at that, and his tail moved in an almost-wagging fashion, again. "That is true..." Grudgingly, he cleared his throat. "Should we teach you to swim, now? We can swim out and visit the shark. I know why he hasn't been around--he found a group of younger juveniles and has been hanging around them."

"I'd been wondering about that," Glory commented. She nodded. "Let's try, then. I need to learn anyways, so better now than later."

Léan slowly left her side, sitting down in the water near her. "Follow my movements. Then try to copy them." He showed her the proper way to float underwater, and how to use her tail to swim. He would teach her how to turn once she'd gotten the hang of the basics.

Glory nodded and did as he said. It wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be, though it still wasn't necessarily easy. It didn't take her very long to get the hang of it, though.

Léan was pleased once he saw she'd gotten the hang of it. "Try this, now..." He showed her how to turn, and went through some quick-turning techniques, as well as fast swimming.

Glory copied what he did, giggling a bit when she managed to catch up to him and hug him.

Léan seemed to feel so much more at home underwater. He was even a bit happier than he usually seemed to be. He nestled himself into her hug, comfortably. He stayed floating there, halfway between the surface and the sandy bottom. He was trying to see if she could keep floating.

Glory noticed how much happier he looked and cuddled with him, glad she could help make him happy. Absently, she pushed her hair back behind her, out of her way.

Léan closed his eyes, happy to relax with her. Floating didn't tire him out. It was like standing was to a human--natural, and not all that tiring. "Do you want to go and check on the shark? Or shall we wait for him to come back on his own?" He was fairly sure the shark would come back. When sharks took to merpeople, they stayed with them, usually. Or, at least around them, for a thirty-mile radius.

"You said he'd found a group of juveniles," Glory said. "While he knows us, I doubt the others do. Maybe we should see if he'll come back on his own." She cuddled into his arms, relaxed and content.

"Ah, true." Léan wrapped his arms more around her, perfectly relaxed with their contact. "I suppose I can take you out to that reef nearby, now," he murmured.

"That you could," Glory agreed. She was perfectly happy to stay where she was. Sighing happily, she rested her head on his shoulder and relaxed with him.

Léan allowed the two of them to sink down to the ocean floor, and he sat there with her, cuddling comfortably. He didn't feel like moving too much, either.

"I get the feeling that you and I are just going to be lounging around doing nothing for a while," Glory commented as she cuddled with him. It was perfectly fine with her, since it was still spending time with him, and it was a comfortable contrast to work and school.

"I can show you what the underwater world looks like when you have no time limits, or goggles on..." Léan reminded her. "The wildlife reacts differently to merpeople than it does to humans. Humans are a threat...merpeople are only a threat if they're hunting."

For some reason, a chill went down his spine. He felt like he was being watched.

"Well, like you said, no time limits," Glory pointed out. "We pretty much have all the time in the world for that." Grinning, she gave him a kiss, and then noticed when he shuddered a bit. "Are you alright?"
