Viktor had just woken up, or was already smashed, since he had a few spelling errors in his text.

Glory saw the spelling errors and couldn't help teasing a little.

Spell-check: There's an App for that. Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyways, words of warning, the shark is about fifteen times as big as before. It will be kept occupied.

Ah-ha, sorry. Got quite a hangover, and I just woke up. I'll take some Advil for it. Eeeehh...okay, please keep it occupied. I don't want to be bitten. Oh...I meant to say...three minutes to get the tank secured to the wall--for everything to be completely secure, we should wait another three to five minutes and then test it--and a hose into the water, to fill the tank up with sea water. To fill it...that'll take longer. But it'll give Curry time to get your friend under control.

Viktor sent this over the course of two texts. He didn't have any spelling errors this time.

Alright. Fair warning, things are a bit... different around here now. I'm sure you'll see why I don't need the scuba gear anymore, so consider yourself warned. Make sure Curry knows what to expect. With that, Glory closed up her phone and stretched a bit.

Léan was already stretching himself out. His left arm cracked a bit and he chuckled. "Ah...that always feels so good, for some reason, when my arms crack..." he commented. "Shall we eat something before they get here?"

"That's probably a good idea," Glory said. "Is there anything in particular you want? There's always fresh fruit in the house."

"I will have anything you can find," Léan answered, cooperatively. "I am open to trying new things. Shall we go and have a look around the kitchen?"

"Sounds like a plan," Glory said, getting up. "You go on into the kitchen, I'm going to change into something easier to get in and out of. I know I have a skirt or something I can wear."

Léan eased himself onto the wheelchair. It took him less time than it usually did, since he was so used to it by now. Quietly, he wheeled himself out of the room and towards the kitchen to forage for possible food.

Glory rummaged through her closet and managed to find a simple tube dress to put on. Once she was changed, she went out into the kitchen to find some breakfast.

Léan was marveling at a large carton of eggs in one of the fridge shelves. Eggs were foreign to him, of course...unless they were fish eggs, or something along those lines.

Glory found him looking at the eggs curiously.

"We can cook those for breakfast, if you want," she offered. "They're a little bland on their own, but a bit of salt and pepper fixes that."

Léan tilted his head. "What are they? I have never seen such odd objects before..." He lightly poked at one, not enough to puncture the shell. "They're not hard, but they're not soft..."

"Hm?" Glory said as she took the cast-iron skillet from the hook on the wall and set it to heat. "They're chicken eggs. They're pretty much liquid inside, you'll see when I crack them in a few minutes."

"Chicken...you mean...cowards make those?" Léan asked, puzzled. He wasn't quite sure what a chicken was, other than a coward. Some kind of animal...?

Glory laughed a bit.

"No, a chicken is a kind of bird," she said. "A domesticated bird, for the most part. They're kept for egg production, and for their meat."

"Oh." Léan blinked. "I see...a bird. Ah, like sea birds--they make eggs." He watched her set everything up, fascinated. Underwater, heat could be used to cook fish at gourmet restaurants, but it wasn't done often. Heat only, not fire. That was the disadvantage. It took a while.

Once the skillet was hot, Glory gave it a quick spray with the can of non-stick cooking spray and cracked an egg into the pan. She liked her eggs over-easy, so she'd cook one of hers first so he could see what she was doing. While the egg cooked, she turned and got a spatula to flip it with.

Léan watched with pure fascination in his eyes. He was surprised to see the flash of yellow color when she cracked the egg open--he had not been expecting that. He watched it cook, intently.

Glory flipped the egg quickly, making sure not to break the yolk.

"I usually like the yellow part runny," she said, "but I know a lot of people don't. Let me know how you want yours cooked, alright?"

"Cook it however you like...as I said, I'm willing to try just about anything." Léan was not a picky eater unless it came to different kinds of seaweed.

Glory nodded, making a mental note to make his breakfast fired-hard instead of over-easy. Moving her egg to the side of the skillet to finish cooking, she cracked another into the free space, this time making sure to break the yolk. Reaching up to the cabinet to her left, she pulled down two plates and put her cooked egg onto one of them, setting it aside.

Léan watched her cook, once more fascinated by the process. He wasn't used to eating cooked foods, of course...so he probably wasn't used to watching someone cook, either.

Once the egg was cooked, Glory put it onto the other plate and took out some silverware.

"Let it cool for a minute or so, and then taste it," she said. "Let me know if you want anything added to it for flavor."

Léan peered at his egg curiously. "You mentioned earlier that two things could be added...so...I suppose I'd like just a bit of those two, even before I taste it," he decided, nodding.
