"In a possibly life-and-death situation? You should be worried about other things," Léan huffed, attempting to be the voice of reason.

"I don't know about you," Glory said, "but I don't see anything really around here that qualifies. The ray left, after all, and it hasn't come back yet, if it will at all."

Léan chuckled. "Oh, fine. You have me caught, there, at least..." He nestled his head against her shoulder, smiling.

Glory hugged him, snuggling close.

"We're never going to hear the end of it from your brother, you know," she said softly.

"I'm aware. He will never let us hear the end of it. We have to prepare, of course...you have to be on land when they return. Otherwise, we will both get tackled..." Léan warned.

"I can't just let you take the brunt of it," Glory said. "Besides we're going to hear it from my parents, too."

"The only one who can reach you on land is your mother. I would keep your car keys on you just in case she decides to give chase," Léan teased.

"She's got no room to complain about anything," Glory said. "At all. And I'm going to point it out if she tries to."

"I definitely need to be out of the water. I don't want anyone attacking me. Specifically, my brother. He'll have another squeal-fest if we aren't in the water, but at least he won't be attached to us while he's doing this..." Léan chuckled. "Ah...I don't want to or need to hear that..."

"Knowing our luck, they'll get back while we're relaxing on the beach or something," Glory replied.

"I can smell my brother coming a mile away. As for your parents...I'm afraid I won't sense them as quickly. We will have to be semi-careful, especially if they aren't all coming home together..." Léan was scowling. He didn't want to deal with his brother spazzing...or anyone else spazzing, for that matter.

"I'm kind of hoping my parents stay on vacation for a while longer," Glory admitted. "Having them hanging around is just... weird."

"I suppose it is. Though, I wouldn't completely understand the feeling. I have one parent, but he's violent...yours aren't..." Léan shrugged, wearily.

((I'm heading to bed early--super tired. Night. ^^))

"I'm not used to having them around, let alone living so close to them," Glory pointed out. "Speaking of... when we get back I need to check my messages to see if Arabella called."

Léan nodded, quietly. "If you want them to move elsewhere, you should talk to them..." he suggested. "It is up to them, in the end, though.

"I know," Glory said. "Maybe I'll suggest it a little later. It's just weird, they haven't been around for ages and now all of a sudden they're practically living with me. I guess I just feel kind of crowded." She cuddled into his side, looking for a bit of comfort.

Lèan wrapped an arm around her. "Perhaps you still need to resolve things with your mother?" he quipped, curiously. It was true the two of them were getting along. But he was fairly certain that not all was forgiven.

"I don't know what else to do," Glory said, cuddling closer. "I don't think things between us will ever be what they should have been."

"It is worth a try. The two of you really need to talk,I think," Léan hummed, thoughtfully. He looked up at her with inquisitive eyes.

"I'll try," Glory said reluctantly. "Though I can't guarantee anything will come of it."

"Try your best." Léan let it go, then, and simply cuddled with her. He felt perfectly content doing nothing at all. It was odd for him. Before he had met her, he always needed to be doing something. Eating, hunting, making jewelry, irritating humans from the safety of deep water...

Glory cuddled close to him. She always felt better when she was in his arms. She wasn't clingy or needy, per se, but she was finding that she didn't like being apart from him.

Léan, after quite a while, finally shifted. "I think we should peek in on my father, and see if he has destroyed your home yet," he muttered, half-jokingly.

"As much as I don't want to move, I think that's a fairly good idea," Glory agreed.

Léan unwillingly budged himself up. "Urgh...I had better catch him something to eat, as well. Go on ahead of me--I'll be back at the shore in just a moment, with a meal for him..."
