"Alright," Glory said. She gave him a kiss and then turned to head back to shore.

Léan dipped back into the reef, to find the largest fish he could possibly find. He didn't like having to catch fish for his father, though he was glad he was confined to the tank.

It didn't take long for Glory to get back to the shallows. She had been a bit uneasy heading back by herself, and was relieved when she got back alright. As she got closer to the shore, she looked around absently for the shark, a bit curious as to where it was.

The shark was chasing around a small group of fish nearby. He was almost too big to be in the shallows. If someone passing looked, they would see him for sure.

Glory couldn't help but giggle a little when she saw him playing. She nudged him toward the deeper water as she went by, and pet him a few times.

The shark smacked his tail at her--it would sting, but wouldn't hurt. He was being playful. He slid farther out, into deeper water.

Inside the house, there was an ever-constant, low growling ripping through the air. Betelgeuse hadn't broken out of the tank, but he'd tried. His entire right elbow was bruised from banging against the glass.

Glory pulled herself up onto her favorite rock and waited to change back. She'd stashed a large towel near the rocks, so once she could stand again, she wrapped it around herself and went inside.

Betelgeuse's growl-grumbling did not let up. He was stubborn as ever. It was...scary...how much he and Léan were alike, and yet so different.

Glory ignored him in favor of picking up her phone, which she had left on the table. It flashed a new message at her, and she hit the button to open it. It was a message from Arabella to check her email, and she grinned.

"That was fast," she murmured. She opened her email from her phone and started to read it. As she did, her eyebrows rose. Arabella had gotten every scrap of information she could find, all the way down to the guy's name, address, and phone number. "Impressive..."

Betelgeuse watched her with narrowed eyes. He was curled up in that same corner, nursing his badly-bruised shoulder and plotting some means of escape. He hated being in the tank and in the house.

Glory read through the email again, making sure she didn't miss anything, and closed her phone again. She looked over at the tank.

"If I told you I knew how to find that guy with the boat," she said after a moment of thought, "would you be willing to help get to where he lives? I can point it out on a map, now that I have the address."

"Your human maps mean nothing to me. I cannot read them," Betelgeuse replied, simply. He seemed to be reluctantly cooperating...but probably not for long.

"Not even if I point out where we are and where we want to be?" Glory asked. "The guy lives on the coast, I already know that from the information I was sent. It's just a matter of finding a way there from here. And I can read a map well enough to figure out approximately how far away it is."

"Geography is not my strong point," Betelgeuse rephrased, lowering his head down onto his arms. He winced as he moved--his shoulder was killing him.

"I'll see how straight of a line I can run between the two points on the map, then," Glory said. "I'm just trying to find a way to get you out of my house and off of my beach, and bonus points if we manage to track down this Dr. Archer guy." She noticed him wince and hold his shoulder. "Are you alright?"

Betelgeuse only sneered at her as a response, and went back to nursing his shoulder. The skin was slowly darkening into a few ugly, painful-looking bruises. He had been bashing his shoulder against the tank to try and break the glass.

"Suit yourself," Glory said. "I would give you some ice for the bruises, but it wouldn't last long in the salt water." She pulled her towel around her a bit tigher so it wouldn't fall. "I should probably go see how far away this address is. If it's close enough, I might be able to drive there instead, maybe pass myself off as a biology student or something so I can get in and look around..."

At the mention of driving, all bets seemed off for Betelgeuse wanting to go, even though he desperately wanted to know what had happened to his mate. If there was one thing he hated more than humans, it was their vehicles--cars, trucks, boats, planes...anything. His grumbling started up again.

Glory raised an eyebrow when he started grumbling.

"Did you want to go?" she asked. "I was working on the assumption I was going alone. I know there's no way in hell I could get you into a car, I'm not that stupid. All I need to do is find a way to waterproof a set of clothes for when we get there, and I'm all for not taking the dry route."

Betelgeuse scowled. "Whichever way is quicker. I will go if we can swim. If it's faster to drive, then go alone...I can't stand cars." He was fairly sure that Léan wanted to go, as well.

"I'll figure out which way is quicker," Glory said, though she was pretty sure it wouldn't matter either way. She would probably still tell them that it was faster to swim, regardless, but she would still check. "Once we get there and figure out what's going on, we can plan from there, I figure."

Betelgeuse huffed as a sign that he'd heard her, and then closed his eyes, unwillingly trying to take a nap. He was feeling rather bitter at the moment.

"You're both more alike than either of you wants to admit, you know," Glory commented as she started to go towards her room to get dressed. She was referring to him and Léan.

Betelgeuse let loose a low hiss at her comment, but didn't say anything. He wasn't going to waste his time arguing with her, not when he was in pain and grumpy.

Glory ignored him as she got dressed and took out her laptop. Mapquest wasn't helpful in the slightest, taking the route further and further away from the shore along the highways before looping back around, so she disregarded it. The ocean route seemed much more direct. She thought for a moment, before taking out her phone and sending a message to Viktor.

Any idea how to keep a set of clothes dry if I said I needed to take them with me somewhere? Short of wrapping them in plastic wrap and praying the rubber bands will hold, I've got nothing.
