"I guess you have a point," Glory conceded as she picked him up. The walk between her room and the beach was extremely familiar by now, so it didn't take long at all to get back outside. Setting him down on the shore, she folded her towel and her dress by her favorite rock and slid into the water with him.

Léan rolled over into the water, completely immersing and soaking himself before popping his head up out of water again. He did this nearly every time he was placed back in the water, as a habit. He took another precautionary whiff of the air. "...Yes, definitely out by the reef. Near it, not in it. They're there, and I sure hope they're decent..."

"Well, since I'm not going to be the one going to find them..." Glory teased. If it were her parents, she'd have already resigned herself to finding them. "Of course, you could always try to get your brother to go with you to find them, instead, I'm fairly sure he hasn't seen your mother yet."

"I...don't want to put her through Arcturus' wrath just yet. You know how he is. I'd rather wait for her to get a little more used to being in the ocean again before he annihilates her with a tackle," Léan sighed. He fidgeted. "...Come with me?" he asked, pleadingly. He was about half sure he would find them decent.

"I wasn't going to make you go alone," Glory said. "You know I was just teasing you."

Léan grumbled. "I had a feeling the thought of my father alone not being decent upon approaching him would have turned you off of the idea. But, I digress..." He yawned, and then glanced out towards the reef. "They're out there, for sure. Let's give you a little test, shall we? Do you remember the way to the reef?" He was asking her to lead.

((At all. All day. It surprised me, too, there are a couple of people on my f-list who are usually on and off throughout the day.))

"Sure, it's not that far," Glory replied carefully. "What kind of test are you planning?"

Léan shrugged. "We can often communicate by using the Song. Try to lure them out, once we get there," he offered, off the top of his head. He'd wanted to know if she could successfully lead by herself, as well.

"Me?" Glory asked. She shook her head. "Oh no, you know I don't know what I'm doing yet." His father already wanted to kill her, she wasn't about to make him angrier somehow.

"I think you'll do fine," Léan protested. "Besides, my father isn't going to get too angry while my mother is with him. Remember? I explained that she always used to tone him down, from what I remember about them being together..."

"Are you sure?" Glory asked. She had no confidence in her skills, and lackthereof.

"I'll be with you, so there will be nothing to worry about," Léan promised. "He is not alone, from the smell of it, so we should be fine."

"If one of them gets mad at me, I'm blaming you," Glory warned. "I've never been good with pop quizzes..."

Léan huffed, mock-offended, and then patiently waited for her to lead the way. He was looking forward to seeing how she did.

"You're mean," Glory mock-pouted, though she started in the direction of the reef after a slight hesitation.

Léan swam beside her, nursing his arm. The cast had held out above water, but it wouldn't last a day or more out of water...that was for sure.

Glory remembered the way to the reef easily enough. It wasn't far, and it wasn't as if there were very many directions to remember.

Léan was pleased once he sighted the reef in the distance. "They won't recognize your song. My father, at least, will be curious enough to come a-calling, and my mother will end up going with him."

"Again, if things go south, I get to blame you," Glory said.

"Certainly," Léan hummed, sounding deliberately bored. He was sure things wouldn't go bad, not unless his father was alone. And he believed they were together.

"You're not being helpful," Glory teased. Yeah, she was stalling a little bit, but she was nervous.

"Oh well..." Léan rested his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes. He felt quite relaxed, for some reason. He felt that his mother wouldn't let Betelgeuse's temper run free anymore.

Glory cuddled with him a bit. She definitely felt better with him there.

"I'm guessing you're waiting for me to quit stalling, hm?"

"Kind of, yes," Léan revealed, simply. He wanted to see just how she would do. He was confident that nothing would go wrong.

"You're no fun," Glory mock-pouted. Regardless, she cuddled into his side a bit and hesitantly began to sing.
