Léan was starting to get antsy, so he quickly headed out into the hallway, tail flicking back and forth. He intended to lead them all home.
Honeydew, with a silent Betelgeuse as her companion, and leech, followed without a word.
Lleu helped Morty to swim along, since he was weak.

Glory followed them out, still holding the necklace. It didn't seem to be doing anything to her, but she'd keep an eye on her skin anyways, just in case.

Léan kept the pace slow, for his and Morty's sake. His arm was still hindering his balance, and if he wasn't paying close attention, he would start to roll over on one side, then quickly catch himself.

Glory noticed that he kept tilting over and sped up a little to catch up with him and tucked herself into his side to support him. She made sure that the necklace didn't get anywhere near touching him.

Léan purred softly, in relief, and was able to swim much more easily with her assistance. In no time, they had reached the beach. Somewhere along the way, he'd noticed that his parents had slipped off, avoiding the beach.

Glory glanced around as they got to the beach.
"I don't see my parents, and I'm not about to go looking for them," she said. "I'm not entirely sure exactly how I'd find them, so I'm just not going to risk it." Turning, she started over to her favorite rock. "Let me go in and warn Nana, and figure out exactly how I should set everything up, and I'll be back."

"We'll be waiting," Lleu replied, softly. He turned to assess the damage on Morty, though Morty wouldn't allow him to touch the rash on him for fear of infecting him indirectly, as well.

"I'll be quick," Glory said. Pulling herself up onto her rock, she wrapped her towel around herself and waited to change back. "I never figured I'd miss my toes so much," she commented to herself as she stood up. Heading inside, she quickly told Nana what was going on. Once that was taken care of, she examined the tank. It had been emptied while they were gone, so it was just a matter of filling it again. After a moment of thinking, she turned on the outside water briefly and ran the hose inside to fill the tank. It didn't take long to fill. Going outside again, she turned off the outside water and went back to the shore.

Morty was in the shallows, just barely poking his head above water. He'd found that plain air made his rash sting terribly, and he was hoping he'd be able to get in water quickly and stay submerged. He didn't like the pain.
Léan was nowhere to be seen. He'd probably gone off to find something nearly immobile to eat, like crabs or seaweed. He couldn't very well hunt fish for himself in his condition.

"Alright, everything is all set," Glory said. "I need you to get as close to the shore as you can. I can get about ankle-deep in the water before I can't stand anymore, so that's about a foot from the shoreline."

Morty quietly inched forward, crying out whenever a bit of his skin breached water. He was able to pull himself up to the proper area, with nothing but his head above water. He was all curled up, so the rash wouldn't touch air.

"You'll be alright," Glory murmured as she picked him up carefully. Quickly, she took him inside and put him into the tank. "You'll be perfectly safe here. My grandmother agreed to keep contact to an absolute minimum, so just try to pretend she isn't here."

Morty seemed quite thankful for that, as he curled up in the bottom of the tank, in one of the corners. It was the same thing Betelgeuse had done when he'd been in the tank, though in a far less offensive way. He was making sure he could see every inch of the room. "Okay..."

"Like I said before, morning is going to come really early for me, so just ignore me when you hear me stumbling around still half-asleep," Glory said. "My room is just down the hall, so shout or something if you need anything."

Morty nodded. He had suddenly drifted into a dreamy sort of trance, and was smiling. The pain from the rash was subsiding, though it would take a while for it to full vanish.

Once she was sure he was alright for the moment, Glory went back outside to the shore. She wasn't planning on getting back into the water, since she had to get some sleep before morning.

Léan had returned with two crabs, and had generously offered one to Lleu. They were sitting a few feet apart, nibbling on their crabs. Léan shifted closer when she returned to the shore, contently.

"Alright, I think I'm going to go crash for the night," Glory said. "My alarm is going off early, and I actually need to be able to wake up when it does."

Léan nodded, smiling. "I understand." Now that Lleu was here, and was probably going to be hanging around for quite a while, he had time to talk to him about what had been bothering him lately.

"I'll stop out here in the morning, then," Glory said. She wasn't necessarily fond of the idea of not being able to snuggle with him, but he seemed content enough to stay in the water for the night, so she wasn't going to push the issue. "I'll leave the window open as usual."

Léan looked a little unsure of being separated, as well. But he did need to talk to Lleu, and they did need to spend some time apart. Otherwise, this would turn into an unhealthy obsession--they would need to be together twenty-four-seven or they would experience great emotional and physical distress. "All right. Sleep well."

Léan planned on sleeping most of the day anyway. So, he finally approached Lleu with what had been bothering him; the idea that had been floating around in his mind for several days, now. He was sure that someone as intelligent as Lleu would be able to tell him if it was possible, still. They talked for hours.

Glory groaned and smashed her hand down on her alarm clock when it went off. She was still exhausted, and would have gladly slept for another ten or twelve hours. Reluctantly, she dragged herself out of bed to get ready for school.

Léan and Lleu had just finished their discussion, and Léan had been overjoyed to hear exactly what he wanted to hear from Lleu. Léan was now asleep, curled up tightly in the shallows...exhausted after a long, difficult talk.
Lleu was still awake. He was the only one awake, considering the stillness that engulfed the beach.
