"Oh." Archie frowned. "I'm sorry for keeping you, then! Have fun!" He dipped down once they reached the shore, to play with Damon and Eden. Damon was attempting to teach her how to swim backwards.

Glory watched them for a moment before pulling herself up onto her rock and wrapping herself in the towel, though she didn't pull the end of her tail out of the water quite yet. She was enjoying the night air for a few more moments.

Archie and Damon, seeming both tired, gathered Eden up and finally headed back to their still-secret cave to rest for the night. That left the beach eerily calm, since Lleu had also wandered off to rest.

Once Glory had let herself change back, she headed inside to change into something comfortable and work on her make-up work on the couch.

Lleu returned halfway through her homework spree, and splashed around outside to gain her attention. He had something he wanted to share with her, evidently.

Pausing her work, Glory got up to go see what was going on. She blinked when she realised that she'd set down her pencil before she realized that she heard the splashing.

"Geeze, I'm trained already..." she muttered to herself.

Lleu was sitting in the shallows waiting for her, holding a bottle of clear, greenish fluid. He held it out to her. "I have a feeling Léan is going to be ill when he wakes up tomorrow. Have him drink this," he warned, knowingly.

"Should I ask what it is?" Glory asked as she took the bottle. "Or am I just better off not knowing?"

"You're better off not knowing. It has a long list of ingredients," Lleu informed her, pointedly. "I am going to turn in for the night. Keep that cold." He dipped underwater and headed out for deeper water.

"Alright. I'm probably going to be up for a while yet," Glory replied. "Way too much work to do." Once he was gone, she went back inside and put the bottle into the fridge before sitting down on the couch again.

The beach was quiet for the rest of the night. Lleu didn't return.

Morty was still fast asleep in the tank. The water was still clean, but would be dirty again by tomorrow afternoon. His rash was almost fully healed.

Glory worked until the early hours of the morning before she finally put away one finished packet of papers. One down, five to go. Dragging herself into her room, she was asleep practically before she collapsed onto her bed. Her alarm forced her out of bed again far too early for her tastes, but she obeyed it anyways.

Morty was awake in the morning, the grumbling of his stomach even audible through the tank's glass. He was hungry, since he hadn't eaten for a while and couldn't hunt for himself at the moment. He was curled up in that same corner of the tank, unable to sleep anymore.

Glory stumbled down the hallway, still half-asleep. Her morning was already on the low side, since she'd been so tired she forgot that a shower meant water and ended up losing the ability to stand about ten seconds in.

"God I hate mornings," she grumbled to herself as she turned on the coffee maker and slid it to its strongest setting.

"As do I." Morty had propped his elbows up on the side of the tank. Air didn't seem to make the rash sting anymore, so he figured he was safe. "Hey, do you have anything to eat? I'm starving."

"That depends, do you mind trying whatever I dig out for breakfast?" Glory asked. She rooted around in the cabinets while the coffee was brewing.

"Um. We'll see," Morty decided, after a few moments of contemplation. He had never had 'human food' before, but he was willing to try it as long as it didn't look, smell, or taste poisonous.

"Alright," Glory replied. After rummaging for a few more moments, she finally relented and put a bagel into the toaster. "Bread is about as basic as it gets, alright?"

"Bread?" Morty looked wholly confused. "All right. I'll trust you on that one--don't let me down," he hummed, pointedly. He seemed to be teasing her.

Glory rolled her eyes and poured herself a cup of coffee. Adding a bit of milk and sugar, she took a sip and sighed happily. "Much better..." Taking out the bagel when it popped from the toaster, she set it on the counter to cool for a few moments and put another one in. She took the first over to Morty. "Careful, it's still hot."

Morty gingerly took it, jumping at the heat. He held it in one hand for a moment, then shifted it to the other as it cooled. When it was finally cool enough to eat, he moved it around in his hands awkwardly before finally taking a bite out of it.

"I did warn you," Glory said as she spread cream cheese on her bagel and took a bite. She was feeling a bit more awake now that the coffee had a chance to get into her system.

"I know," Morty replied through a mouthful of bagel. It was an odd-tasting food for him, but good. Bread sogged up in water, so there wasn't much of it in his world.

"I would offer you some coffee, but it's an acquired taste," Glory said. "And I doubt you would react well to caffiene."

"What's caffeine?" Of course. People who never had caffeine before were awful with it. Most merpeople who had tried it could attest to that.
