"Viktor's always hyped up about shopping, especially if it's for clothes, or games, or surfing supplies," Selena confirmed, amused. "I should have warned you beforehand. But I figured it would be better for you to see it on your own. And okay, I'll save you a seat. Are you going to bring any guests, or...?"

"Assume yes and go from there," Glory replied slowly, thinking. "Just one, though. Quick question, will you ever need me to return that wheelchair? We may not need it for much longer."

"You can keep it, if you'd like...but if you don't want it anymore, I'll gladly take it back," Selena replied, confusion dotting her expression. Why wouldn't they need it anymore?

"We'll see," Glory said. "I was just curious."

Selena nodded, still a bit puzzled. But, she didn't press Glory about it. She finished up her lunch just as the bell rang.

"I'll explain later," Glory promised. "When your phone isn't being used for text-tag."

"Okay," Selena hummed, still surreptitiously texting as she walked.

The rest of Glory's day was a bit slower. Finally, the last bell rang and she rushed out to the parking lot. She was more than ready to get out of school.

Viktor was waiting for her, leaning against his car. He looked excited, like he'd been waiting all day for school to end.

Glory dug her keys out of her bag.

"Remember," she said, "wait in the car until I say it's alright."

"Sure thing. While we're there, I guess you can drop off your car and we can take mine. My trunk's big enough," Viktor murmured, also fishing out his keys. He hopped into his car, content.

"I agree that we can take your car on the basis that it's in better condition than mine," Glory replied. She got into her own car and started towards home.

Viktor followed her closely. Not close enough to be tailing, but close enough that he didn't get lost on the way there. He often didn't pay attention when he drove...something that he really ought to have grown out of by now.

As usual, it didn't take Glory long to get home and as usual, the beach was deserted, though she could tell that it hadn't been that way long.

Viktor, as instructed, staying in his car, killing the engine for now. He settled down to take a quick power-nap while Glory set things up.

The only one brave enough to peek out from under the rocks once he heard Glory approaching was Lleu. He seemed to be alone, for now anyway.

Glory left her bag in her car and went out to the beach.

"It's alright," she said, "it's just Viktor. I told him to stay in the car until I said otherwise."

"Ah. I see. You need Léan?" Lleu asked, knowingly. "I will go and fetch him...it is just him and myself on the beach, so you can bring him out of his car now." Creepiness once more. He dipped underwater to fetch Léan from under the rocks. He had been teaching him how to read simple English all day.

"I still need to head inside and check on your mate," Glory pointed out. "I can leave Viktor in his car for a few more minutes."

Lleu didn't resurface. He returned with Léan and then answered her. "He can come out whenever he wants," he murmured, nodding. "Morty...he isn't fond of humans. I would be careful about letting him inside."

"That was why I was going to go and check on him, and if he wants to come back outside, then take care of that and THEN tell Viktor he can come out of the car," Glory said. She blinked. "And that was a really long sentence."

Léan seemed puzzled as to why Glory was home so early, since she said she was going shopping. But he didn't ask, and instead waited for her to check on Morty.

Quickly, Glory went inside to the tank.

"How are you feeling?" she asked Morty.

Morty was awake, but just barely--he had been falling asleep. He shook himself awake, smiling. "I'm doing all right. The rash seems to be gone...though I wish this scar would go away..." He reached up and touched the scar on his neck. It wasn't too noticeable, since it had healed over, but it was there...

"I don't know what to do about that," Glory replied. "Though I CAN help if you're feeling up to going back outside."

"Is Lleu outside? I want to go and see him!" All signs of his weariness had been dropped. Morty seemed excited, and his tail swished back and forth rapidly. He wanted to see his mate. He missed him terribly.
