Léan nodded, closing his eyes in an attempt to relax...it was a mistake, obviously, because...

...Archie leaped up out of the water and clung to him, hanging off of his shoulders. "Hi, Léan," he greeted, grinning. "You guys playing nice? Or is he being a grumpy old coot again?"

Léan pushed at him, irritated. "Get off of me."

Glory giggled.

"Good morning to you too, Archie," she said, grinning. "We were just chatting, that's all."

"That's good," Archie quipped, nodding. "I was afraid he was back to his old self." He poked Léan in the sides. "Hey. You. What are we going to do about food today? I've been doing all the hunting. If hunting needs to be done today, you are doing it. You lazy bum."

Léan rolled his eyes. "Fine, fine...I said get off of me." He pushed at him, somewhat gentle.

Glory grinned. They were so cute when they were actually acting like brothers... At least Léan didn't look as annoyed as usual about being cuddled...

Archie rested his head on Léan's shoulder, grinning, as Damon finally caught up, huffing and puffing. It seemed Archie was too fast for him, sometimes. "Let's do something interesting today. Something all of us can do. Anyone got any ideas?"

Léan grumbled. "I have an idea...how about you get off of me?"

"Oh, quit being so sour," Glory said to Léan. "He's not doing anything wrong." Looking back at Archie, she shook her head. "No, I don't have any ideas, either."

Léan grumbled a bit more. "He's clinging. I don't like it when he clings." He swatted at him with his tail. "Back. Back, you vile beast..." he teased, grinning.

Archie snickered and released him. "Maybe Léan can go take you to see that coral reef, now. If you're up to it. Oh, come on," he pouted, when Léan stared at him. "All it is is...um...this!" He grabbed Damon, who blinked in surprise, and pressed his lips to his, openly. There was no...tongue action.

Archie pulled back, as Damon snuggled with him. "Like CPR."

Glory blushed at Archie's suggestion.

"Archie," she said, "have you ever stopped to think that maybe your brother doesn't want to?" Not that she was comfortable with it, either... yet.

Archie poked Léan, making him squirm. "I...don't think he minds. As long as there's no tongue. Unless you two want there to be..." He nudged him a bit more. "Am I correct in assuming that you don't mind, as long as it's CPR-like?"

Léan swatted him away at the nudging. "I do not mind, as long as it it CPR-like. But it is up to you, not me," he informed her, nodding. He seemed embarrassed, but not too much--it seems something CPR-like and non-emotional didn't faze him too much...but still did, a bit.

"Uh huh," Glory said doubtfully. "You're blushing, you know."

Léan's eyes narrowed, and the slight pinkness to his cheeks deepened. "I...I don't mind! It's just a bit embarrassing...and I won't do it unless he--" he jabbed his thumb in Archie's direction, "--stays a good distance away."

Glory definitely agreed--it was embarassing. She wasn't even sure if she liked him that way, yet... And already Archie was suggesting that she and Léan essentially start making out.

Archie was grinning, amused. "I say you do it. But, I know it's embarrassing. I'll stay away...um...why don't we think of something else, first? How about...um...a little seaside picnic, or something? I'd love to try some human food." Damon nodded in agreement.

Léan shrugged, idly. "Sounds interesting..."

"Alright," Glory said, relieved to have another idea being presented. "I'll have to go inside and see what I can put together..."

((sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been having a total brainfart the last few days.))

Léan seemed sort of relieved, as well. He wasn't one for situations that forced him to bring out too much emotion. He hated to admit it, but when he would get embarrassed...he would get seriously embarrassed.

Damon squealed, happily. He seemed excited. Archie snuggled him, grinning. "Okay, then! We'll be patient."

Glory blearily brought her hand down on her alarm clock, opening her eyes and glaring hatefully at the glowing digits. It was entirely too early to be awake... Especially after a summer of sleeping in late in the mornings. Dragging herself out of bed, she mechanically got ready for the day, knowing she had to go back to school. That didn't mean she had to like it...

Slipping into an old, well-loved pair of jeans, she rooted through her closet looking for a decent top. Screw fashion, she wanted comfort. Her new jeans could wait for a day when she cared. Pulling out a white camisole, she put a blue and white plaid button-up shirt over top and pulled a pair of sandals onto her feet. Twisting her hair into a bun, she secured it with a pair of ties and grabbed her bag.

"This is about as good as it's going to get today..." she muttered to herself, grabbing a bagel as she headed out the door and onto the beach.

Léan was, of course, asleep in the shallows, curled up. He had taken to sleeping out in the open, in the shallows. He was definitely not a morning person. He was all scowls in the morning, as grumpy as he could possibly be. He appreciated it when she saved him from oversleeping, however. He didn't like to oversleep if it meant missing her leave...he didn't want to miss her leaving for school, either. To him, it was a big event.

Slinging her bag over her shoulder, Glory walked out to the rocks and looked into the water. She saw Léan still sleeping, and honestly couldn't blame him. She would still be sleeping, if she could.

"Alright, I'm not getting my feet wet today," she said flatly, still tired. "It's too much effort this early to take off my shoes and roll up my jeans. If I'm lucky, I can get some coffee before classes start."

Archie, who was a morning person, was just getting up, wading out from under the rocks. He yawned, then noticed Glory and his sleeping brother. A grin cracked its way across his face. He swam up and practically leaped on Léan. "Wakey-wakey!"

Léan jolted awake, slapping at Archie with his tail. "Get the hell off me!" he snapped, typical morning side coming out. "Geez...you could've just shaken me!"

Archie snickered, hugging him then pulling back. "I love you. You wanted to get up this morning, right?

Léan stared at him, then blinked. "Oh, yes..." He turned to Glory. "...Don't kill her," he warned, grinning sheepishly.

"Some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill them," Glory replied. Grinning a bit, she even managed to tease, "though if she gets in my face before my morning coffee, I make no guarantees." Pulling her cell phone out of her pocket, she checked the time. "I should go if I'm going to get a coffee before classes start. If I'm lucky, I'll even be able to drink it."

There was a bit of chuckling at her teasing before a somewhat sad, mournful look crossed over Léan's face, but he nodded. "All right...have a good day. And please...don't get in too much trouble over her. It's not worth it..."

"I'll try," Glory replied. Shaking some sand from between her toes, she smiled a bit. "I should be back by mid-afternoon. Hopefully, they won't give too much homework on the first day..." Turning, she made her way to her car.

Léan watched her leave glumly, hoping she would keep her promise of coming home in the afternoon. As soon as she was out of sight, he ducked his head back underwater and worked on getting back to sleep...

Ten minutes and a cup of coffee later, Glory sat down in her first class of the day. She was feeling a little more awake, thanks to the coffee, so her day was starting to look a little brighter. At least, it was... before Selena walked in. Glory had to settle for a neutral expression, rather than a cold one. Selena hadn't done anything to her personally, after all...

Selena, unlike a lot of the preppier girls, was dressed in a simple outfit--a light blue dress and some old white sandals. Though, she was surrounded by a group of over-talkative girls, whispering rumors and whatnot. It seemed she had an innocent facade...but she wasn't truly that innocent.

She quite resembled an evil doppelganger of Alice Liddell, with bright emerald eyes.
