Léan didn't mind the change. In fact, he welcomed it, wrapping his arms around her in a protective sort of way and preparing to rest.

Glory cuddled into the embrace, snuggling as close to him as she could. She was trying to relax, but she couldn't help but keep thinking about the argument earlier. She just hoped that her mother cooled down enough that she could think clearly again.

Léan wasn't too worried. After all, he wouldn't allow anything too bad to happen. He didn't want any yelling or physical fighting...and he would prevent it.

Glory had no idea why she was so upset over the whole thing, but eventually she managed to calm down enough to drift off to sleep.

Léan only settled down to sleep once she had fallen into a deep, comfortable sleep. Once she did, he passed out, into a dreamless sleep.

Glory slept soundly all night, barely even moving at all. She woke up the next morning, snuggled close to Léan. She didn't move, content to lay there in his arms for a while.

Léan slept a bit longer than she did this time. He sang softly during his sleep, a quiet falsetto. His notes differed while he slept. They were probably a reflection of what he was dreaming at the time.

Glory listened contently for a while. It was relaxing, somehow.

When Léan finally did wake up, it was with a start, and he sat up almost immediately, shaking his head. "...I had the oddest dream," he admitted, finally, after a moment of recuperation. "Now I'm tingling all over..."

"Do you actually remember the dream?" Glory asked. She noticed that he looked a little shaken. "Are you alright?"

An odd look flashed across Léan's face, before he shook his head. "I don't remember what it was about...I just remember being terrified, and angry..."

((deja-vu...))

"It was just a dream," Glory said, snuggling closer to him. Leaning up, she gave him a kiss.

Léan sighed, wrapping his arms around her, and gently responded to her kiss. "...I...I suppose so." Something seemed strained about his voice. He was shaken...but gradually calming down.

Glory cuddled closer to him and nuzzled him, humming softly to him. She didn't know what had shaken him so badly, but she was trying to help him calm down.

Léan was calm in a matter of minutes, though he was wide-awake, now, and showed no signs of wanting to head back to sleep. "Mm...what time is it?" he asked, absently.

"Can't see the clock from here," Glory replied. "Probably around ten or so."

Léan nodded slowly, and then relaxed. "...All right. I'm willing to get up, if you want to. What shall we do?" It seemed he was trying to distract himself from the bad dream he had had...

"I didn't have anything planned..." Glory replied. "Was there anything in particular you wanted to do?"

"Perhaps something on land?" Léan suggested, cluelessly. "I don't know what there is to do here...and for the time being, I would rather steer clear of water..."

"I don't blame you," Glory replied. "We could go and do some shopping, if you like. Get a head start on what we're going to need."

Léan tilted his head. "...Perhaps we could. What else is there we could do?" He was trying to get a list of at least three things to do, so that they could decide after a bit of deliberation.

"Go out and see a movie," Glory suggested. "Maybe take refuge in the library for a while. Go out to the book stores."

Léan seemed puzzled by those ideas, and then sighed. "...Well. What do you think would be the most enjoyable? You are, after all, more of an expert on life above water than I am."

"Whatever you want to do is fine," Glory replied. "I mean, it's probably a good idea to go shopping, but I can always drag Viktor or Selena out later. Viktor likes shopping."

"No, no...I...I'll go with you," Léan assured her, smiling. "Anything that will help me with my human etiquette, and my walking skills. After all, I'm as bad a foreigner as you can get...I don't even know that much about the land's geography..."
