Glory got up and followed him. She didn't know what he was looking for, but she wouldn't interrupt.

Léan dipped down, suddenly, and scattered a gathering of crabs below them. He managed to capture two big ones, and he quickly killed them. He coasted back upwards, holding one out to her.

"Thanks," Glory said as she accepted the crab. She normally wasn't all that fond of crabmeat, but right now it sounded really good, so she wasn't about to complain.

Léan nodded, as he quickly began to tear apart his crab's shell. He didn't eat crabs often--they irritated him, and for some reason, they all seemed to band together in order to achieve his demise when he found them in groups.

Glory cracked open her crab as well. She found it amusing to watch his vendetta against the crabs, since she knew it was mostly-harmless.

Léan quickly downed all the meat of his crab. He also ate the eyes--he was fond of crab and fish eyes, something most merpeople did not care for but some humans actually cared for.

Glory finished her crab quickly, although she didn't touch the eyes. Something about them creeped her out a little.

Léan was creeped out by dead eyes in general...but he didn't look at them when he ate, so that was fine. His tail flicked back and forth. "So, what shall we do, now?"

"It's up to you," Glory replied. It didn't matter much to her what they did, as long as he was happy.

Léan shrugged, idly. "Perhaps we can deal with the outsider, now?" he suggested, tentatively.

"Why are you asking me?" Glory asked. "You're the one in charge, it's your decision."

"An alpha always consults his or her mate before making any major decisions." Léan shrugged. "I don't care if he stays or not. But if he gets in my way, I'll have no qualms about defending myself."

"I think it would be a good idea to talk to him before deciding whether or not to get rid of him," Glory said. "Talking in this context meaning an actual exchange of words rather than what happened last time." Of course, she was just teasing him a little, but she did mean it.

Léan immediately seemed to get defensive. "Did you talk to him? What did he say?" He didn't seem to fancy the idea of talking to someone he'd just recently violently fought with.

"I only talked long enough to decide whether getting rid of him was more important than trying to get you to talk to me," Glory replied. "So I think you should talk to him and decide for yourself whether or not to let him stay. I only told him he could stay until you decided what to do."

Léan frowned, a bit of his moodiness returning. "You know I'm no good at being social. I downright hate it, alpha or not. You will help me, right?"

"I'll be right there with you," Glory promised, taking his hand gently. She leaned over and gave him a kiss.

Léan grasped her hand gently, happy to return the affection and the kiss. "Fine...let's go find him. Do you remember where he is? I forget..."

"I'm pretty sure I remember," Glory replied, nodding. She was glad that he would be with her, this time. She knew she wouldn't be all that good at defending herself, if the need arose, and she felt safer with him there.

Léan gave a sigh of relief, and then nodded, firmly. "All right...go on and lead the way."

Glory nodded and started off toward the place she remembered the outsider being. She kept hold of Léan's hand, glad he was with her.

Léan did not seem thrilled about having to deal with the outsider...he didn't mind allowing him to stay as long as he didn't cause trouble.

Glory squeezed his hand gently as they arrived at the right area.

"Just talking," she reminded him softly. "That's all."

Aster was still there. He was laid out on one of the rocks, and he straightened up when the two approached him. He was already prepared to face his fate.

Léan didn't seem to know what to say. His grip tightened on her hand.

Glory kept hold of Léan's hand.

"It's alright," she murmured softly to him. "I'm right here with you."
