Glory snuggled closer to him, offering a bit of comfort.

"Relax," she murmured. "You've been driving yourself into the ground lately." And really, she wasn't quite sure why.

Léan sighed. "I know, I know..." The reason why he had been working nonstop, really, was to distract himself from any conflicting thoughts. He did not want to argue with her anymore, but there was little he could do to change the way he still felt...

Glory cuddled with him as best she could. It was a bit awkward, but it had been for a while, now. Because of the twins, her stomach was too big to not be in the way.

"Just try to get some rest," she said.

Léan nodded, now focusing on trying to fall asleep before the conversation slipped back to something he clearly didn't want to talk about. He was having trouble falling asleep...but he was resting.

Glory knew by now that he didn't want to talk about it, so she didn't bother bringing it up. She'd resigned herself to the fact that she was probably going to be the only one taking care of the twins. She doubted he would want anything to do with them, no matter what she said.

Léan was willing to help her...but was hesitant to do too much by himself. Unlike his brother, who adored children, he was very distant about them...

Glory rested quietly with him. She didn't know what would or wouldn't trigger labor, so she was trying her best not to exert herself at all. They only had a few more days, at best, before the twins were born, so she was doing what she could to stay relaxed.

Léan only perked up twice, and he didn't open his eyes when he did so. Boats in the far distance caused this--in the silence of the room, his hearing was very much enhanced.

Glory noticed his attention jumping around.

"Is everything alright?" she asked softly. Her senses weren't as sharp as his were, so she didn't catch the sounds.

"Just boats, far out at sea," Léan informed her, his focus on them dying down as the sounds began to drift farther out to sea.

"Alright," Glory said. She rubbed her stomach a bit as one of the twins kicked, and tried to cover a wince at a false contraction. She'd been feeling them for a little over a week, on and off, so she didn't think much of it.

Léan, who still had his eyes closed, didn't notice her wincing. He was too focused on trying to sleep...he was still feeling awkward about all that had been happening lately.

Glory managed to relax a bit once the false contraction eased, and she snuggled a bit closer to him.

Léan welcomed the added affection, a small smile finally gracing his features. He liked the contact they were sharing--it made it much easier for him to relax.

Glory enjoyed the contact, as well. She wanted him to put his arms around her, but that would mean he would have to touch her stomach, so she didn't think he would. For now, she would have to be okay with just snuggling.

Léan was avoiding that for just that reason...he did, after a while, reach out and wrap his arms up around her shoulders and neck. He just would go nowhere near touching her stomach, for fear he would somehow end up hurting her or the children.

Glory snuggled into his arms when he wrapped them around her shoulders. She enjoyed the contact, but wasn't able to hide another small wince as another false contraction caught her.

Léan, whose eyes were open this time, noticed. He was quick to close his eyes again, simply enjoying the time resting with her.

The pain eased again quickly, and Glory mentally waved it off. She wanted to enjoy the time with him.

"Love you," she murmured to him.

"Love you, too..." Léan muttered, in response. He was still having trouble getting to sleep...but would be asleep in the next few minutes.

Glory stayed cuddled close and let him fall asleep. She knew he was tired, and the sleep would do him good, so she would try her best not to wake him.

Léan was relaxed as he slept, save for a few twitches and a small whimper. He was having a neutral sort of dream, that would shift every so often to a good or bad theme.

Glory stayed with him, offering comfort when his dreams seemed to take a bad turn. It was about all she could do, short of actually waking him up.

Léan did not sleep for too long. Not more than an hour later, he had jolted himself awake, out of his dream. He still looked tired. "...I don't think I'll be able to sleep for a while," he murmured, unhappily.

"What happened?" Glory asked softly. She'd been laying there quietly, dozing on and off, so she was mostly awake when he woke up.
