Léan was lingering around near her bedroom, still within range in case one of the twins began to cry. Of course, he'd be too panicked to do much of anything, so he would have had to come out and fetch her.

"They're probably going to wake up, soon," Glory said softly when she found him. "They're going to need feeding every two hours or so." Which meant that she was going to get about zero sleep until the twins slept longer themselves. "I'm really going to need you to try to stay calm when they keep waking up crying, alright?"

Léan twitched slightly, as if he was anticipating those words and also dreading them. "...I suppose I'll eventually get used to it. But it will take a while..." he admitted, sheepishly.

"I really need you to try," Glory said. She took his hand gently.

"I can't help my panicked state. Only time will help," Léan reminded her, eyes glued to the floor.

"Well..." Glory thought for a moment. "While they're both quiet, do you want to try holding one of them again? I'll be right next to you the whole time." Just holding one. Nothing more than that.

"I don't want any crying to happen," Léan muttered, folding his arms across his chest. "Not now..." He looked worn out, and still seemed very on-edge.

Glory was about to try to coax him a bit more, but she could see how tired he was.

"Alright," she said. She gave him a kiss. "Come on, let's go lay down for a bit until they wake up."

Léan instantly relaxed, taking her hand and shuffling more towards the bedroom door. He was quick to hurry inside, and he wasted no time, laying down and curling up in the blankets.

Glory followed him and laid down next to him, leaving the door open so she would be able to hear the twins when they woke up. She snuggled close to him, enjoying being able to properly snuggle again.

Léan seemed happy that snuggling was easier. He relaxed more, and would probably fall asleep faster.

Glory rested with him quietly, but she didn't fall asleep. Once the twins were taken care of, she would catch a nap. She knew if she fell asleep now, she'd sleep through their cries. After a few minutes, she heard them starting to fuss and quietly slipped out of bed to go take care of them.

Léan, thankfully, fell asleep before he heard any crying. He was deeply asleep and did not seem to hear the cries...it was good, because he would be panicking if he had heard the cries.

Glory went into the next room and immediately went to pick up Orion. She knew it wouldn't be easy to hold him long enough to feed him, so she figured she may as well get to him first.

Orion seemed to be brewing up the beginnings of a temper tantrum. He was kicking, and his entire face had gone somewhat red. Unfortunately, he appeared to have inherited the bad temper traits of both sides of the spectrum...

Glory rocked him and murmured to him, trying to calm him down before he went off in a full tantrum.

"There's nothing to be upset about," she murmured softly as she sat down in the old rocking chair she'd dragged into the room a few days earlier. She held him close to her and rocked gently in the chair.

It took a few minutes for Orion to fully settle down. He did so with an unenthusiastic grumble and a few huffs. But, the tears did stop falling, and he didn't get too noisy.

Glory carefully dried his face with a soft cloth, and then set about feeding him. She was inexperienced, yet, so it took her a minute or so to get the hang of it, but she did. She would get better at it with practice.

Orion was in a much better mood after she fed him, because he immediately went back to sleep and didn't wake up. It seemed like food was a good way to calm him down.

Once he was asleep again, Glory settled him back in his crib, and then picked up Autumn. She was fussing louder now, impatient, so Glory immediately went about feeding her, too. The infant had been patient enough, no sense in keeping her waiting longer. Glory briefly wondered where Autumn had inherited the patience from. She herself wasn't a very patient person, after all.

Once Autumn was done, Glory kept rocking her slowly until she fell asleep. It took longer than with Orion, but eventually, the infant drifted off again and Glory laid her back into her crib. Quietly, she slipped out of the room again and went back into her own room to snuggle in with Léan.

Léan had managed to sleep through the whole ordeal. Normally, merpeople were not close with their children. They would care for them until they could care for themselves, and then would leave them to their own devices. They would help them and feed them, but not much else.

Glory snuggled in and drifted off to sleep immediately, although it was a light sleep compared to her usual simlulated coma. If the twins started crying, it would probably wake her up.

Léan was completely out. It would take a fireworks show to wake him up...perhaps even that wouldn't wake him up. He slept for another hour or so before he finally began to stir.

Glory slept for about an hour or so, until the fussing of one of the twins woke her up. She sat up with a slight groan. It seemed like she was only going to get naps here and there, rather than good sleep.

Orion was the one fussing. He had woken up and couldn't get back to sleep.

Léan was just starting to wake up. Of course, when he heard the crying, he resolved himself not to move. If he got up, he would only start to panic...
