Glory nodded. She hesitated for a moment, then decided it was best to just say it.

"He and I just had a pair of children," she said. "Their names are Autumn and Orion."

Honeydew blinked a few times and then she sighed, scratching her head. "...The reason you probably didn't say anything beforehand is because of Betelgeuse, isn't it?" she asked, sounding strained but excited.

Glory bit her lip a little.

"Would you hold it against me if I said yes?" she asked.

"No. I know how my children feel about Betelgeuse...I wasn't aware of the extents he went to upon my disappearance until he told me himself." Honeydew made a face. "I left, you know, for about a month before I came back to check on him."

Léan was looking down, his eyes somber.

"I knew neither of you were around for a while," Glory said, "but I didn't know exactly where. I stayed topside for a while." It was just easier to stay in one form after a certain point in her pregnancy.

"We were out near here...Lleu suggested that we come out here. Betelgeuse didn't want to live in the city..." Typical. Betelgeuse was a lot like Léan.

"That sounds familiar," Glory commented. "Orion seems like he's going to have the same sour attitude."

Honeydew sighed, lowering her eyes. "I'm sorry. I hope you're able to squash it before it gets bad. Betelgeuse's attitude can get bad..."

"I'll do what I can," Glory replied. "Next time you're nearby, we can bring them out so you can see them, if you want."

"I'll try to swing by in the next few days. Betelgeuse won't want to come with. He doesn't care for children...not at all." Again, eeriely similar to Léan.

Each similarity Honeydew expressed seemed to eat away at Léan.

"That's fine," Glory replied. "Just let us know when you're in the area."

Honeydew nodded, flashing them both a smile, and then headed back around the rock again, possibly to curl up and rest with Betelgeuse for a while.

Glory reached over and took Léan's hand.

"Come on," she said softly. "Let's go home. You look upset, resting for a bit will probably help."

Léan nodded, squeezing her hand tightly. He hated being compared to his father...and he hated that he and Betelgeuse were so creepily similar.

Glory went with him back towards home. Once they were back, she would have to check on the children, but after that, she could snuggle in with him for a little while.

Léan moved at a slow pace once more, this time of his own volition. He was feeling tired again and worn out from what he had just gone through.

Glory stayed close to him, not wanting to go too far from his side. She didn't like seeing him so upset, and she would do everything she could to make him feel better.

Léan pulled himself up onto shore once they reached the beach. Archie had disappeared into the water--he'd probably felt too unsafe sleeping above water for too long.

Glory pulled herself up onto the shore after him and gathered her things.

"Go on inside and put on something comfortable," she said. "I need to take care of the children, and then I'll be in to cuddle in with you for a while."

Léan ambled off inside the house and immediately went to her room. He changed clothes, into some cozy pajamas, and then settled down to rest.

Glory put on some comfortable pajamas of her own, and then went into the nursery to check on the twins. She'd been gone long enough that she probably needed to feed them again, which she'd already planned on doing.

Léan had a feeling that that was what she was doing. As such, he patiently awaited her return and did not complain about anything.

Glory took her time feeding the twins, making sure they didn't start fussing and crying. She didn't think Autumn would start fussing anyways, but she knew Orion probably would.

Orion fussed at first, but settled down relatively quickly. He was tired and just wanted to be left alone, but he was also hungry and let that take precedence over everything else for a bit.

Once he was fed and they were both settled in for the time being, Glory quietly slipped out of the nursery and went into her own room. Snuggling into her own bed with Léan sounded nice.
