That concerned Glory a bit. Getting up, she checked on the twins quickly before going outside.

Léan turned a bit when he heard her approaching, and he fully turned around when he noticed her, his tail flicking back and forth underwater. The reason for his staying outside became apparent--he was awkwardly holding a sleeping Eden in his arms.

Well. That was unexpected. Glory went and sat down on a rock.

"What's going on?" she asked softly.

Léan poked his head above water, shaking out his hair a bit and sending little drops flying around everywhere. "Arcturus doesn't want her caught in the middle of his and Damon's bickering. He asked if we could watch her for a few days..."

Eden was obviously a lot older than the twins were--she could already swim perfectly in the water.

"And because his dear older brother has babies of his own now..." Glory teased. She nodded. "I don't mind watching her." If she had to, she could go inside and get the twins and they could all move to the water for a couple of days.

Léan gingerly lifted Eden out of the water. Eden had no human blood in her, and therefore she kept her tail out of water. "She can stay out of water...but she should have immediate access to salt water..."

"It's alright," Glory said. "I can get the twins, and we can move out here for the time being. I can always move them back inside if I have to. No sense in moving Eden inside."

Léan was silent for a moment and then he nodded, slowly lowering Eden back into the water. Eden was already at the age where she was experimenting with talking in both English and Rebenian, the language of the merpeople...hopefully the overuse of English by the two of them would not put a damper on her learning her own native language. "All right."

"I'll be right back," Glory said. Getting up, she headed back inside. It took her a moment to figure out how to carry both of the twins at once, but she figured it out and managed to get back outside with them.

Orion was not happy about being picked up, but he only expressed it with an irritated sort of whine before he quieted down.

Once she got them out of their cribs, Glory undressed each of them and then wrapped them each in a blanket before undressing herself and wrapping a towel around herself. It was easier to just leave a towel and blankets outside rather than a bunch of clothes. Going outside, she sat down on her rock and dropped her feet into the water, ignoring her own change as she got the twins ready to take into the water with her.

Léan watched warily, unsure if Orion would complain or not. He started to complain when she lowered him into the water and had to take a few seconds to adjust before he settled down, looking around with wide and curious eyes. He seemed to be much more comfortable in the water than he was out of the water.

The dark color of his tail seemed to unnerve Léan.

Once she was sure that Orion was okay, Glory lowered Autumn into the water. Autumn fussed a little when she hit the water, and it took her a good few moments to calm down again, but once she adjusted, she seemed just as curious as her twin. Her tail was more indigo than violet, but it wasn't nearly as dark as Orion's was. Once Autumn was calm, Glory slid into the water as well.

Orion's tail was pitch black. It was nearly the same exact shade that Honeydew's was. Interesting how the rare dark color passed down and skipped a generation...

Léan shifted a little, noticing that Eden had stirred herself out of sleep and was reaching out toward her cousins with too-curious enthusiasm.

Glory noticed Eden, as well, and kept an eye on her. While Léan probably wouldn't know how to handle it, Glory knew how to make sure Eden didn't accidentally hurt Autumn or Orion.

Léan studied Glory's expression for a moment and then let Eden go. She could swim quite well, though she still swerved a little bit when she wasn't paying attention. She immediately made a beeline for Glory and hid behind her, peeking out at the twins curiously and a bit timidly.

Glory watched Eden, and didn't make any move to stop her. Autumn looked at Eden with just as much curiosity, bu it was obvious she had no idea how to swim yet.

Orion regarded Eden with wary eyes and a bit of curiosity. He attempted to reach out to her but failed because he was still being held. He attempted to move his tail, but he was not strong enough to go anywhere just yet.

Glory managed to maneuver the twins so that they could see Eden better, and vice-versa. Autumn reached out towards Eden, curious.

Eden backed away slightly from Autumn's outstretched arms and then moved forward again so the other girl could touch her. She seemed warily curious, like Orion was.

Orion did not reach out to her again--he just studied her.

Glory watched the three, making sure nothing happened. Already, it seemed she was becoming more comfortable with acting like a mother rather than a nervous girl.

Eden laughed suddenly, reaching out to touch Autumn's head with both of her hands. Her movements were gentle. She made a few incoherent, excited babbling noises.

Autumn giggled as well, probably in response to Eden's laughter. It seemed that the two would get along well.

Orion was immediately jealous and he stuck his arms out indignantly, making a huffing noise in the back of his throat.

Eden reached out and tapped him on the head a few times, looking mildly curious. She seemed to be more cautious of him than she was of Autumn.

Glory watched the two interact, though she wasn't all that worried about either of them getting hurt. She was a little surprised that Orion was jealous of his sister getting attention, though.
