It was only after about an hour that Autumn woke up, fussing. She wanted attention, and she wanted it now. Snuggling in with her brother and cousin was all well and good, but she wanted attention for just herself, too.

When Autumn woke up, so did Orion. He was much louder than she was, and much harder to calm down. He could spiral into tantrums at the drop of a hat.

Eden woke up, but she didn't cry. She only looked annoyed that she'd been woken up.

Glory stirred a little when Autumn started crying, but she really woke up when Orion started at it. Slipping out of Léan's hold, she nudged him and got up.

"Come on," she said softly. "I need you to take care of Autumn while I get Orion calmed down."

Léan whined softly, looking like he didn't want to get up. He slid out of bed rather aimlessly, not fully awake. His eyes weren't even open all the way.

Glory took his hand and gave him a kiss.

"I need you to calm Autumn down," she said. "It won't be hard, she doesn't sound like she's hungry. I think she just wants to be held." Orion, on the other hand, sounded like he was about to go into a full-blown tantrum.

Léan sighed and nodded, squeezing her hand slightly. He was not good with these kinds of things...but he would try, of course.

Glory went with him into the next room. Picking up Autumn, she handed the infant to him before reaching down again and picking up Orion.

Autumn was still fussing, but she'd already quieted down significantly once she was picked up. She cuddled into her father's arms.

Léan held Autumn awkwardly, staring off into space as he did so.

Orion seemed to go into a full-on tantrum once he was picked up. He kicked his little legs around and made fists with his tiny hands, swinging his arms around.

Autumn looked up at her father and grabbed little fistfuls of his shirt, as if trying to make him pay attention to her.

Glory went and sat down in the rocking chair and started rocking back and forth slowly, holding Orion close and murmuring to him soothingly as she did so. She didn't know what brought on this tantrum, but it would pass soon enough.

Léan looked so flustered at her actions that it was almost an endearing look for him. He occupied himself with gently prying her hands off of his shirt.

Orion took his sweet old time settling down. When he finally did, he was still sniffling and looking irritated.

Autumn kept grabbing on to his shirt, as quickly as he could pry her fingers off again. She didn't want to let go of him yet.

Glory continued to rock Orion gently, holding him close.

"It's alright," she murmured softly to him.

Léan eventually stopped trying and simply held her, looking and probably feeling way too awkward to know what to do.

Orion finally settled down, and he glanced towards the door in an almost longing manner.

Glory didn't catch the look Orion had on his face, but going outside was sounding good to her anyways.

"Here, give me Autumn," she said. "Pick up Eden, we can head back outside."

Léan handed Autumn back to Glory after prying her fingers off of his shirt a final time and then he scooped up Eden. Eden was easier to deal with, for him anyway. She was older and a little more independent.

Glory held the twins as they all went outside. She got the feeling it would be easier on everyone if they were settled in in the water for the time being.

Orion's irritable demeanor immediately faded away once they stepped outside. He reached out towards the water with his hands, a smile on his face.

Léan shifted, semi-uncomfortably. Eden was purposely squirming in his arms and found it funny to smack his arms with her tail.

This time, Glory saw Orion's reaction. While Autumn didn't seem to have a preference between water or land, Orion clearly did. Somehow, she managed to get them and herself undressed and took them into the water with her.

Léan set Eden into the water and then quickly slid out of his clothing. He hopped into the water to join them. Eden was perfectly fine swimming on her own.

Orion did indeed appear to be much more comfortable in the water.

Even Autumn looked a bit more cheerful, giggling a little and cuddling closer to her brother. Glory figured that Autumn just enjoyed the change of scene, more than anything.

Orion flicked his tail around curiously, accepting the cuddling from his sister. Eden swam around everyone in circles, babbling happily. Léan just relaxed in the shallows, tail stretched out.

Glory settled down next to him, and gently set the twins down on the sand. She made sure to keep an eye on them, but otherwise let them amuse themselves.

((I have to get off for a while to take a nap or I'm going to regret it later. I should be back on later, but if I don't wake up...night!))

Léan welcomed the company. He didn't bother keeping an eye on Eden. She was all right on her own, for the most part, as long as she was in sight or earshot.

Glory leaned over and gave him a kiss.

"Your son takes after you," she said softly. "I think he likes it best out here."

Léan chewed on his lip and then nodded slowly. He had a feeling that might cause problems. If Orion had his way, he probably wouldn't want to go back up on land anymore.

Glory sighed and leaned against him, keeping an eye on the children. Hopefully, he would still be at least a little affectionate with her, even if the children were there.
