"...I can't understand how she puts up with him," Léan muttered, flatly. His mother, to date, was one of the only people he knew of that could associate with Betelgeuse without fighting or violence occurring...

"Who knows," Glory replied. She waved absently when her own parents left as well. "We can go settle back in, if you want... Everything seems to have quieted down again."

Léan sighed, his eyes drifting closed. "...We can, if you'd like. But perhaps we should head on inside," he added, mournfully. "I have this nagging feeling that my brother is going to be a problem, now that he and Damon are back to their chipper, hyper selves..."

"You can't avoid them forever," Glory replied. "Besides, they didn't bother you when they came by to pick up Eden."

"They probably want to. Damon probably wants to come and see the twins...and he'll bring Arcturus with him," Léan reasoned, somewhat timidly. "I'd rather not deal with them right now."

Glory knew better than to try to argue with him.

"Alright," she said. "But if we're heading inside, I get to teach you how to dress one of the children. It's not difficult."

Léan made a face. Oddly enough, he resembled an infant about to cry out of frustration. "...I don't know how well that will go. As you already know, I'm still not that good with putting on my OWN clothes...but I can try."

He couldn't count the number of times he had put on pants as a shirt, or worn everything inside-out or backwards...

"Just try," Glory said. "Just this once." It wouldn't be all that difficult, since the children both wore onesies still, though she would have to go shopping soon for more things for them.

"I will try. I just doubt I'll do that well," Léan hummed, looking quite determined about that much. He stretched slightly. "We should head back, now."

"Alright," Glory replied. She made sure he had Autumn securely. The infant was still sleeping, which was fine. "I'll follow you."

Léan was still very wary of holding either of the children. He started to move but did so very slowly, making sure he wouldn't wake Autumn up. He quietly led the way back to the shore, hoping he wouldn't wake her on the way back.

Orion was still awake, but barely so. He was trying to sleep, but having trouble because he was feeling hungry.

Glory held Orion close as they went, making sure he was secure.

Autumn snuggled closer to her father in her sleep, perfectly comfortable.

Léan carefully eased himself out of the water, watching as he and Autumn both changed back into their human forms. He still wasn't used to seeing his tail disappear. Being a merperson by birth, he felt more comfortable with his tail and in water. But he was fine being on land.

Autumn woke up when she was take out of the water, but she didn't fuss. She was hungry, but got distracted when she saw her feet again, and kicked them a bit, giggling.

Glory pulled herself out of the water with one arm, the other arm keeping a hold on Orion. The change didn't bother her anymore; it was normal by now.

Léan sighed softly, standing up once both he and Autumn had finished changing. He nabbed one of the two last remaining towels. It seemed that they would need to put more out there the next time they ventured into the water.

Orion was unhappy to see his legs again. That combined with his hunger caused him to start fussing again.

Glory grabbed the other towel and managed to get it around herself before she stood up. Gently, she rocked Orion and murmured to him soothingly.

Léan, sensing that trouble would start brewing, headed inside so that he could separate the twins for now. He didn't want Orion's crying to make Autumn start crying.

Orion took a few minutes to calm down. When he did so, he still looked angry and upset.

Once he was calmer, Glory took him inside. By now, she figured out that he was hungry, so once she got inside, she sat down in the rocking chair and held him so he could nurse. She would dress him when he was finished, and then take care of Autumn.

Léan faced the other way, still unnerved by it, and simply held Autumn. He would hand her over to Glory once she wanted her and was finished with Orion.

Glory held Orion close, letting him take his time. Autumn wasn't fussing yet, so there was no reason to hurry him.

Autumn was hungry, as well, and there wasn't anything to distract her anymore, so she was going to start fussing soon.

Léan could only think of one way to distract her, but unfortunately, it would distract Orion as well. His singing would affect them both, seeing as they were both changed humans by birth.

Glory gently rocked Orion once he finished, and then got up to dress him and put him to bed. Once he was taken care of, she carefully took Autumn and sat down in the rocking chair again.

Autumn immediately started nursing. She was hungry, and she was glad that it was her turn for attention now.

Having just thought of the song and its effects, Léan decided he should bring it up to Glory. "...Do you think we should get the two of them used to the singing of merpeople?" he asked, curiously. "Now that my father knows they're here, and given the fact that they will soon most likely be able to swim on their own, I think it's a reasonable precaution..."

Glory thought about it for a moment, and nodded.

"It's a good idea," she said. "Best to get them used to it early, so it's not a problem later."

"All right, then..." Léan glanced over at Orion to see if he was sleeping yet. Thankfully, he was still awake--he was looking around the room rather curiously. "We can do that before we get to see my horrendous failure at dressing them..."
