Léan nodded, taking a deep breath. The pink slowly faded away, but his tail continued to move back and forth...a bit more slowly, now. "True..." He cast a gaze out the window rather unhappily. "I am afraid to tell him. I dread it."

"That's an easy enough fix," Glory pointed out. "Don't. As far as he's concerned, nothing has changed."

Léan nodded, sighing. "It's going to be difficult to hide things from him, however...he's very perceptive, when he isn't being irritating..." He had absolutely no idea what to do at this point.

"And how perceptive do you think he's going to be with Damon to distract him?" Glory pointed out. Things were quickly fading back to normal, something she was grateful for. Dry sarcasm she could deal with. Awkward tension, not so much.

Léan allowed himself a chuckle and a grin. "Oh, you'd be surprised...he amazes me sometimes." He yawned, softly.

"I saw that," Glory said, referring to the yawn. "Here, let me get you a pillow and a blanket, and you can crash right there." Getting up, she went to the linnen closet and pulled out a spare blanket and pillow. She grinned to herself when she realized they were the same ones that she gave to him last time. Then she brought them back out to him. "Here."

"A shame, and I thought I was being sneaky," Léan offered idly, curling up on the couch and taking the offered items. He hoped he wouldn't feel too lonely. He threw the blanket over himself, as he had last time, and cuddled up with the pillow, finding the couch to be much more comfortable than the bathtub had been.

"Sleep well, alright?" Glory said, fighting off a yawn herself. She was already getting back into a school-time groove, so she was getting tired earlier than in the summer, since she had to get up earlier. "Morning is going to come early, since I have to be out for school, so I'm giving you fair warning now."

Léan mock-groaned, in horror. "Oh, man...my fair warning, as well--I am a beast in the morning..." He chuckled, then stretched out. "Good night..."

"I think I can handle it," Glory replied. "Good night." With that, she made her way back to her room and got ready for bed. It didn't take her as long as she thought it would to fall asleep.

Léan dreamed, for once, when he finally fell asleep. He rarely ever dreamed. And, to make matters stranger, he was having happy, content dreams...carefree dreams...

Glory's alarm went off far too early the next morning, in her opinion. Silently, she cursed the name of the idiot who decreed that school had to start early and rolled out of bed. Pulling on a random pair of plain jeans, she pulled out a fairly nice shirt and put it on, then went to finish the rest of her routine. Once she was ready, she went out to where Léan was sleeping.

"Rise and shine," she said as she shook him a bit.

Léan grumbled, weakly attempting to swat her away, and opened his eyes, blearily. "Ugh...it is way too early..." he complained, his usual, elderly-sounding side coming out.

"I did warn you about that," Glory replied dryly, not particularly in the mood to trade banter with him. "I'm on my way out in a few minutes, so if you want to go back out to the water, now's your chance."

Léan shook his head, way too comfortable on the couch to even consider moving. "I will be fine here...I'm too tired...and I do not want to deal with Arcturus..."

"Suit yourself," Glory replied. "I'll stop by this afternoon to drop my things off, before I have to try to find the restaurant, so I'll see you then."

Léan nodded, smiling a bit. "I will see you later, then..." He seemed sad that she had to go, but knew she had to. He hoped Viktor wasn't going to take her back on his job offer.

Leaning down, Glory gave him a hug.

"You know I'll be back later," she said. "I'll try to get my homework done quickly so that the rest of my time is free when I get home."

Léan paused, then uncertainly returned the hug. "All right...don't push yourself if you don't want to..."

"I'll be alright," Glory reassured him, grabbing her keys from the coffee table. "Nana should be up fairly soon, so at least you won't be alone. Go on back to sleep. At least one of us should get it."

Léan sighed, curling back up. "All right...have a good day..." He still seemed purely elated to be away from Arcturus--so much so that he wasn't even nervous about being left here with a human he didn't completely trust, yet.

Satisfied that he would be alright for the day, Glory headed outside. Taking a quick look down the beach, she figured that Archie and Damon were still sleeping, so she decided to leave them be and went to her car. The route to the school was familiar by now, so she was making it in shorter time than before. She even managed to make it to class just before Selena and her twits did, so she planted herself in the middle of their usual corner, just to mess with them.

As soon as Selena's posse walked in, they noticed her in their spot. A few muttered some scathing words among themselves as they all took seats near the very front of the room, away from her.

Selena was not with them today.

Viktor was with them, however. He simply chose a random seat, away from them. It was one in front of Glory.

Glory definitely didn't miss the fact that Selena was missing. Mentally, she checked off her security list. Car doors locked and windows up? Check. Locker locked with a fresh combination lock? Check. All valuables left at home? Aside from things like her cell phone and iPod, which were in her bag next to her, check.

For now, she was as safe as she could make herself without any outside help.

Viktor didn't seem too worried about Selena's absence. If anything, he seemed relieved that he didn't have to deal with her. Despite his popularity--everyone seemed to vote for him at social events and commend him on his athletic prowess, he was on the football team--he seemed rather lonely. He never joked around when Selena's friends were around, but when he was around his surfing buddies and friends outside of school, he was perfectly fine.
