Glory opened her mouth to explain, and then stopped. The process was too complicated to just explain. "You know what? I'll do it, it's alright." Giving him a quick kiss, she went back towards the door. "Let me go start that, then I can see if the twins are ready for their next feeding."

Léan followed her out, looking a little embarrassed due to his lack of knowledge, into the living room in case she needed help with anything. He felt like he couldn't do much of anything around the house, and especially not with the twins.

Glory went out and got the hose to start filling the tank. She managed to set it up so it worked with seawater rather than fresh water, and left the tank to fill.

"Keep an eye on that and make sure it doesn't overflow?" she asked, turning back to Léan. "I need to check on the children."

Léan nodded, looking a bit elated that there was actually something he could do. He held onto the hose and watched it very closely, to make sure it wouldn't overflow.

Glory turned and went into the nursery to see if the twins were awake. She figured they would be, by now. They'd slept about long enough. She went and checked on Orion first, gently lifting him out of his crib.

Orion gave a huff of disapproval, immediately being stirred from his nap. He was a light sleeper, it seemed, unless he was dreaming.

Glory checked him over quickly, and then settled him back down so he could go back to sleep. Once he was settled back in, she went to check on Autumn. Autumn seemed to sleep deeper than her brother did, and only stirred a little when she was picked up. She immediately went back to sleep against Glory's shoulder, and curled up again when she was put back into her crib.

Orion settled down once he was placed back in his crib, curling up into a tight ball on his side. That 'tight ball' way of sleeping was something that Léan, Archie, and Betelgeuse all did--and it seemed that Orion was quite the same. It looked uncomfortable to other people, but it was the way all three of them slept.

Glory made sure they were both asleep again before leaving the nursery quietly and heading back out to see if the tank was full.

Léan had been watching the hose carefully and it was spurting out water at a slow pace, so it was almost full by the time Glory returned to check on him. "...Is this good, or...?" he asked, looking out of his element again.

Glory checked the water level and nodded.

"It looks fine," she said, going to turn off the water.

Léan watched her head outside to turn the water off and strained his ears again, listening closely. He, for some reason, was still very much on-edge. Then again, he was not fond of boats in the first place, so...it was understandable.

Going back inside quickly, Glory asked Nana to watch the twins for the moment, and then went back to her mate.

"Come on," she said. "Let's go find your brother and get them up here."

Léan nodded slowly, hesitantly heading towards the door and peeking outside, glancing around for any signs of that boat. He seemed to feel that something was very off, even though the boat had left.

"...That boat. Did it have any...tanks or anything on it?" he asked Glory as he stepped outside at last. "...I want to make sure, really, that...that they didn't capture any of my kind during their searching. Maybe it would be a good thing for it to return before the day ends."

He had a sinking suspicion that that boat had a captive on-board, or more than one. If they were professional hunters of his kind...then it was likely.

"I didn't notice..." Glory murmured, trying to think back. "They didn't stick around long, and didn't get close enough for me to make out much on the deck."

"If they are professionals, there is a chance they have captives. And it's likely that they will return before the night ends to search again..." Léan frowned slightly. "...Should we ask Lleu?"

"He went back home already," Glory said. "It's probably not a good idea to go too far from shore right now... We'll know either way if the boat comes back tonight." She would stay awake as long as she could to keep an eye out for it. She would have been awake a few times anyways, taking care of the twins.

Léan nodded somewhat glumly, eyebrows furrowed together. He was highly bothered by the smell lingering in the air--it was too minute for a human's nose to pick up on, but he smelled it. Sirens had many ways of communicating with each other. A very subtle way of passing along messages was releasing pheromones into the air and water around them. The stranger and more powerful a siren was, the stronger their scent was, especially if they were in danger.

He smelled a danger-alert kind of pheromone in the air. It was a very strange scent, however...different from that of a normal siren. He had a funny feeling he'd smelled a similar scent once before in his past, but couldn't place it.

Glory took one of his hands gently.

"We can take a look around the area later, if you want," she said. "I don't think we should go too far, but around the beach should be alright."

"All right..." Léan shuffled uncomfortably where he was for a moment, but then regained his nerve. "Where is Arcturus? Is he hiding Damon and Eden, or are they all in the same place?" He didn't know where they were, so she was going to have to lead him.

"Last I saw them, they were all together," Glory replied. "He said they would stay there, and I remember where it was."

Léan nodded slightly. "All right. You can lead the way, then. And like I said...just be careful if you plan on carrying Damon." He could carry Archie, sure, since Archie was big. Damon was small and light, so Glory could most likely carry him. But Damon was prone to biting when jostled, most likely...

"I will," Glory replied. Folding her towel by the shore, she slipped into the water.

Léan, after glancing around furtively and then quickly shedding his clothes, joined her in the water. He always seemed to relax more when he was in the water--on land, he was tense and jumpy.

Once he was in the water with her, she took his hand and started off towards where she last saw the others. She kept an eye out for the boat as they went.
