Léan swam alongside with her, his senses much more used to hearing and smelling things in the water. The strange pheromone scent grew less and less prominent as they went along. Finally, he could see his brother and Damon in the distance, huddled up close with Eden.

Glory spotted them a moment after he did. Her eyesight wasn't quite as good as his was, even after having it improved, but she was alright with that. She kept glancing around as they got closer, making sure the boat hadn't come back.

Léan broke away from her to curl up affectionately by his brother's side, giving him a reassuring pat to the shoulder. "The boat is gone. Come, let's go. There is a chance it will return, and we need to get you in the tank before then."

Archie grumbled, looking like he didn't want to risk leaving his hiding place in case the boat came back. "...Okay."

Glory waited for them, making sure to stay a polite distance away. She stayed alert, in case the boat came back, but she still didn't see it around.

Léan managed to awkwardly lead Archie--who was still clinging very tightly to both Damon and Eden--up and towards Glory, indicating with a silent nod for her to lead the way back and watch out for trouble.

Glory nodded and turned to head back towards home, keeping an eye out for the boat returning.

Archie was very tense the whole way back towards shore. He would suddenly jolt to a stop upon hearing something moving in the water nearby and then start swimming again. Once they reached shore, Léan tugged himself out of the water and snagged one of the dry towels laying out, wrapping it around himself.

Glory had a bit of an easier time getting out of the water, and wrapped her own towel around herself. It was practically habit by now to glance out over the water to make sure everything was still clear.

Léan dried himself off absently, but didn't bother putting his clothes on. He just kept the towel hooked securely around his waist. Picking up Archie was going to get him wet again, anyway. Archie waited patiently for the two of them to be ready enough to take all three of them inside.

Glory got to her feet and made sure her towel was secure.

"Alright," she said, glancing around. "We should probably do this quickly."

Léan shot a glance in Damon's direction and muttered something, sharply, to him in his native tongue. Damon frowned at him and replied hesitantly. Archie patted Damon on the head and reassured him, still in the strange language, and then nodded. "I'm ready. Ah...be careful," he chuckled nervously, to Glory. "He bites. You should take him first."

"Alright," Glory replied. She made sure her towel was secure, and then gently picked up Damon. There was really nothing she could do if he was going to bite her, so she figured that if he did, she would patch it back up once she got him into the tank.

Damon was a small-bodied, seemingly harmless siren. But when Glory picked him up, his upper lip quivered and lifted up over sharp, menacing-looking teeth. He hissed, not liking the sudden, strange weightless feeling, but he caught the murderous glare that Léan was fixing him with and managed to stay his teeth.

Glory took him inside quickly and went and put him into the tank. She made sure to lower him into the tank carefully, so as not to jar him.

Léan waited until he saw Damon sink to the bottom of the tank, looking apprehensive. Then, he reached down for Eden. Archie offered up the sleeping girl to the elder twin, albeit a bit hesitantly, and Léan held his arms out towards Glory. "Here. Take her. I think Arcturus is too heavy for you, so I'll take him."

Glory nodded and took Eden gently, holding her so she would be comfortable.

Léan, once he was sure that Glory would be fine with Eden, reached down into the water and deftly scooped up his brother, not really caring if he jostled him. He didn't mind being bitten.

Archie bared his teeth at him, a clear and territorial warning to be gentler, but he didn't strike as Léan carried him inside and slowly lowered him down into the tank.

Glory followed them inside with Eden. She wasn't sure if the other pair would want to keep Eden with them, or if they would want her to put the baby with the twins, so she waited to see what would happen.

Damon didn't seem to be capable of making a competent decision at the moment--he was apprehensive, on-edge, and looking frightened...after all, he'd never been out of the ocean that much before...

So, Archie put his foot down. "There's little room here...so you can take her somewhere roomier," he said, firmly.

"Alright," Glory replied. "I'll take her in and put her with Autumn and Orion, then. They seem to like seeing their cousin."

Archie nodded in agreement, wrapping his arms around Damon to comfort the nervous merman. "...Oi, Léan. Tell me...did you smell that really strange smell while that boat was here, too?" he asked, suddenly.

Léan blinked, suddenly recalling the odd, danger-alerting pheromone smell. "I did."

Glory went and took Eden into the nursery, letting the two talk. She laid Eden gently next to Autumn, and then moved the cribs a little so that she could connect them into one big crib for the three of them. While she was in there, she checked on Autumn and Orion one more time to make sure they were both comfortable and content.

Eden was half-awake by this point, but she settled down to sleep at once when she was set down. Orion was still out like a light, not wanting to do anything other than sleep.

Léan and Archie both remembered something about the peculiar scent they had smelled. It was not the pheromone of an ordinary siren. There were sirens that had lower halves other than fish-like tails--the lower halves of other marine creatures. But they were extremely rare and usually lived in small, secluded tribes in arctic areas. They discussed this while Glory was in the nursery.

Autumn stirred a bit when the cribs were moved, but she settled down again quickly. She was comfortable where she was.

Once the children were all settled in, Glory went back out to the other room.

When Léan noticed that Glory had returned, he turned towards her and folded his arms across his chest. Eerily, Archie had his arms folded across his chest in the same exact ways. It was little moments like these when it was easy to tell they were identical twins.

"We think that boat had a prisoner on it."
