Léan chuckled. "...Well...I suppose there are some exceptions," he admitted sheepishly. He rested his head on one of the couch pillows, perfectly content.

"You look comfortable," Glory noted dryly, teasing him a bit. Looking towards the kitchen, she contemplated making herself that tea, and then decided that she didn't need the caffiene so late. Stretching her arms until her elbows popped, she stood up. "I should probably head to bed. The week's only half-over, after all."

Once again, that subtle look of impending loneliness started to fall over Léan, but he did his best to hide it...it was fairly obvious, however, his effort in vain. "All right..."

Sitting down again, Glory leaned over and hugged him.

"I did warn you that I would be busy when school started again," she reminded him. Although, she hadn't anticipated being quite THIS busy, but she hoped that things would level out soon.

Léan sighed, leaning into the hug slowly. "I know..." Now that he actually had people he cared about around him, being alone just felt terrible.

Glory noticed how he didn't really try to return the hug, but she didn't push him about it. He wasn't pushing her off, that was a good thing.

"I should get to sleep," she said after a moment, letting him go. "Morning always comes at an unholy hour. I'm very much not a morning person, but I can't exactly just not go to school."

Léan nodded, still looking downtrodden of course, and settled down to sleep. "All right..."

Glory hated to see him so sad, but she couldn't figure out how to cheer him up again. She hesitated for a moment, and then headed back into her room to head to bed. If she saw that unhappy look on his face any longer, it was probably going to break her heart.

Léan simply curled himself up and tried to get to sleep as quickly as possible. The less time he had to spend alone, the better...sleeping would help with that. It would ebb away time...

Glory fell asleep quickly, exhausted from work. It would take her a while to get used to the level of activity, but for now, it knocked her out quickly. Morning still came very early, and Glory wanted to beat her alarm clock into silence, but she still got up. A hot shower helped, but she was still half-asleep as she dried her hair and got dressed. A mug of peppermint tea from the kitchen helped even more.

Léan was still asleep, curled up tightly, buried beneath the blanket. Despite his efforts, it had taken him a long time to get to sleep, and he was tired.

"Hey," she murmured as she gently shook him, "I'm about to head out. If you want to go back outside, now's your chance."

Léan groaned a bit, sitting up and shaking sleep off. "...I'm not sure if he's calmed down yet or not, but my tail is killing me," he admitted ruefully after a moment. It was starting to peel like crazy.

"Let's get you back outside, then," Glory said softly. "The salt water will do you good."

Léan nodded, wriggling out from under the blanket so she could better reach him. He fully agreed...he just wasn't sure if Archie would do him any good...

Gently, Glory picked him up and carried him outside. The morning air was chilly to her skin, and she was kind of glad she didn't have to get into the water. It would probably be too cold. She set him down carefully at the shore.

"Alright, I should head out. Today will probably be like yesterday, so I'll have a couple hours before work," she said.

Eagerly, Léan flopped over into the water, getting his dry tail wet. Archie was nowhere in sight, probably resting with Damon. He nodded, glad about that. "All right...have a nice day."

Glory nodded.

"I'll try," she said. "Try not to skin him today, alright? You know he means well."

Léan nodded slowly, sparing a glance back at the rocks. "I hope he's calm..." he murmured, almost as if to himself. Then, he turned back to her. "I will see you later." He sounded a bit lonely again, but he looked like he'd be fine if Archie was calm--he would then have someone calm to talk to.

The drive to the school was as short and uneventful as always. Glory almost wanted to see the look on Selena's face when the other girl saw the lack of scratch on the car... Glory slid into her seat for first period and waited to see what Selena and her posse would do.

Selena was there today. She didn't seem as...'preppy'...as usual. Instead, she had a bitter sort of look on her face and was dressed in dark, gothic-like clothing. It looked like she was once again trying to gain the favor of Viktor, because she wasn't acting like herself.

Her effort seemed to be in vain, because Viktor looked just as bored as ever.

Oh, this was just too good of an opportunity to pass up. Call it a bit of revenge for the scratch on her car... Glory smiled a bit and turned to them.

"Morning, Viktor," she said, making sure not to sound too smug or overly sweet. No sense in being like Selena...

If looks could kill, Selena's glare would probably have melted Glory's skin away.

Viktor idly raised a hand. "Mornin'." It was obvious he wasn't a morning person--he looked somewhat groggy.

"You still look half-asleep," Glory observed, tactfully ignoring Selena. "Not that I really blame you... I think morning shouldn't start earlier than nine. I find that tea or coffee helps, though. A little."

Viktor yawned. "I'm not all that fond of tea or coffee...I like energy drinks. He dug in his messenger bag and pulled out a giant can of Monster energy drink. It seemed he had three or four in there. "Mm...Monster. Nothing like a can of unhealthy sugar rush material in the morning."

Selena was fuming. However, she didn't want to do anything while the teacher was in the room--she had a near-perfect record when it came to misbehaving in school, and she didn't want to ruin it.
