"He would be bouncing off the walls, if he had walls to bounce off of," Glory said flatly. "Though it was interesting watching Léan watch the Discovery channel. They were running a Planet Earth marathon." She was quiet for a moment. "Maybe one day you'll get to see her. Karma's like that, you know? Before you really know what's going on, you suddenly get what you want."

Selena sighed, nodding after a moment. "I hope so...one day. I've been saving up for round-trip plane tickets for a while, now, but I still don't have enough." It seemed she was reluctant to talk about Léan. Maybe she would feel better about it once more time passed.

"You'll get there," Glory said. "It just takes a bit of patience." She pulled up in front of Selena's house. "And I believe this is your stop."

Selena nodded, unfastening her seat belt. "I hope so. Thank you for the ride..." She opened the door and closed it, then opened the back door to get her things. Once she'd gotten them, she headed off, to her house.

Once Selena was inside, Glory made her way back home. She knew she was running late from the detour, and was glad that her teachers hadn't assigned homework that day. She practically flew up the driveway, and was out of the car before the engine had time to completely shut off. Kicking off her shoes just inside the door, she made her way out back to the beach.

"I'm home," she called.

Léan was waiting in the shallows. Archie was not near him--he was floating out with Damon, still visible, in deeper water. His tail began to swish happily back and forth when he saw her returning. "I see that. Did you have a good day?"

"Actually, yeah," Glory replied as she settled herself on her favorite rock. "I had the weirdest conversation at lunch, though. Selena and I came to a truce, as strange as that sounds."

Léan blinked. Then he blinked again. "...How in the world did that happen?" he asked, quite seriously. He was nearly at a loss for words. "Did a piece of sky start falling down when you did this?"

"I'm not sure," Glory replied, "I asked the same thing. I'm still not sure how it happened. Something about her saying that Viktor is cheating on her with a guy, and how we agreed to disagree on the subject of the supernatural..."

Léan's brow furrowed, and he rested his elbows on the sand. "...Uh...all right...that's still quite bizarre to me," he admitted, tilting his head.

"It was bizarre to me, too," Glory said. "Though... she wanted me to talk to you. She said to tell you that she was sorry."

Léan made a humming noise in his throat and simply looked off into the distance, face expressionless. It wasn't clear if he accepted her apology or not. He said nothing on the matter.

"So, how was your day?" Glory asked, changing the subject. She knew he probably wasn't about to say anything, so she wouldn't push the subject until he was ready. "Where are the others?"

Léan turned back to her, relieved to have the subject dropped. "Arcturus is taking Damon out for a swim. You can just barely see them out there."

He pointed out into deeper waters, where two small shapes were floating along lazily.

"I thought Arcturus was going to be on me all day again...but he seems to have calmed down. I'm surmising it's because he doesn't want me to leave again."

Standing up, Glory could just barely see the two out in deeper water.

"Maybe he realized that you don't like him hanging on him," she reasoned, sitting back down. She tucked her feet under her legs when a cool breeze came off the water.

Léan sighed, and shrugged. "In a matter of days, he will be back at it. Trust me. Though, he'll be careful not to upset me again...that much I should be thankful for..."

"So enjoy those days where he isn't clinging to you," Glory pointed out. "And if he tries to cling to you again, remind him that he has Damon to look after."

"I'll remind him, all right..." Léan grumbled. "With a smack to the back of his head, that is..."

He glanced out at Archie and Damon, who weren't rough-housing due to Damon's current state...but they looked like they were having fun. It seemed like they, without really meaning to, had completely left Léan out. He looked lonely.

Pulling her cell phone out of her pocket to check the time, Glory debated with herself for a moment.

"Go on and see if you can play with them," she suggested after a moment. "I would go and change, but I need to get ready for work in a little while, but I'm sure they'll let you play."

Léan sighed, rather wearily. "I don't want to interrupt them. They're having fun without me. I think I would feel rather awkward getting between the two of them right now..."

He paused, then yawned a bit. "I think I'm going to go hunting. We're low on food out here, anyway..."

((I'll be back--I have to take a shower.))

"Alright," Glory said. "You go ahead, then. I'm going to head inside where it's a bit warmer. I need to figure out when I'm going to shop for my winter wardrobe... I can't exactly be wearing shorts and tanks all winter, and I definitely can't be going barefoot along the shore. The water will be to cold."

Léan nodded, reluctantly slipping out into deeper water. "I will be back when I finish hunting...I may bring you something you can use in your kitchen. I will see you later."

"I'll see you later, then," Glory replied, standing up. She watched him swim off, and wished that it was still summer so that she could spend more time in the water with him. He seemed so lonely, and she wished so much that she could do something about it...

Léan greeted Damon and Archie when he passed by them, but, as he thought, they only greeted him briefly and went back to their swimming. Almost dismally, he sank underwater. He would catch enough to restock their supply of food with one of Archie's fishing nest, which he'd stolen from humans. He kept his tied around his wrist, so he could capture live fish whenever he needed to.

Léan was lonely. Quite lonely. He wished he had someone helping him out with his hunting. But, of course, only Archie and Damon could have gone hunting with him...

Glory felt oddly lonely herself when she got inside. She greeted Nana absently, and then went straight into her room. Not even watching TV seemed appealing. Without her realizing it, her day suddenly started to revolve around Léan, and she didn't know how. Not that she was complaining...
