Léan frowned, then used his tail, which could catch much more water in the air than a foot could, and splashed her back.

Glory giggled and brought up her arms to block the water, kicking some more at him.

"Come on, have some fun," she said.

Léan frowned, diving underwater momentarily to avoid the water. He poked his head back up and stuck his tongue out at her, proceeding to swim away and hide.

Grinning, Glory looked around from the top of her rock. She knew this game. She just had to be patient and wait for him to come back out.

Léan didn't come out fully this time. Instead, he poked his head out from under one of the rocks, a few feet away from her. He stuck his tongue out again and ducked back under, purposely taunting her.

Glory raised an eyebrow. Well, if that's how he wanted to play it... Standing up, she jumped into the water and then looked around for him. He couldn't be too far... Absently, she pushed her hair back as it drifted in front of her face. As much as she loved her long hair, sometimes it got in the way.

Léan ducked under one of the rocks, attempting to hide. The movements above the water and around the opening in the rock could be seen, easily, however.

Pushing off of one of the rocks, Glory followed him. She knew she only had another thirty seconds of air, at best, so she tried to use minimal effort.

Léan frowned upon seeing her--he'd hit a dead end underwater. He looked...different...underwater than he did above water. His hair, normally flat against his head, billowed out like a golden sheet, and his tail, normally bluish-purple, sparkled a bright ice blue.

Glory blinked when she saw him. She'd never seen him underwater before. She didn't have time to stare, though, because she ran out of air. If she could have sighed, she would have, but she didn't feel like drowning as she surfaced for air.

Léan peeked up after her after she surfaced, a curious expression on his face. He'd been puzzled by the dumbfounded look on her face before she'd pulled up for air.

"Darn my need to breathe," Glory mumbled to herself as she took a good breath and dove under again.

Léan dove under again once she did, tilting his head. The change in his appearance, when one looked closely enough, was once again obvious when he was underwater. The scales on his tail even sparkled a bit underwater.

Now Glory could get a good look at him. The change was obvious once she really looked, and it just seemed completely unfair that he could be so pretty. It just really wasn't fair.

Léan went decidedly pink when he realized she was flat-out staring at him, but he didn't move. His tail flicked back and forth, though. The movement was slower underwater, and much more fluid.

Glory blushed as well when she realized she was staring, but she couldn't help it. He was really good looking, and she wasn't exactly blind. After a few more moments, though, she ran out of air again and had to surface.

Léan poked his head above water again, a tinge of pink still very visible on his face. He wasn't used to being stared at like that, but it did feel sort of good...

"Sorry..." Glory said, still a bit pink herself. "I didn't mean to stare."

"It's...it's quite all right," Léan murmured, the blush not faded completely, yet. "I didn't...mind it..."

"Still," Glory said, "I shouldn't be staring, it's not polite..."

Léan raised an eyebrow. "My standards of polite range from 'You're on my good list' to 'I want to punch you in the face.' There really isn't anything between. So, I don't consider that impolite..."

"Are you sure?" Glory asked. She didn't want to offend him, after all... He was a good friend of hers, and those were hard to come by.

Léan nodded, smiling. "I'm sure. I don't mind it. I've simply never been stared at like that before..." He stretched a bit.

"If you're sure," Glory said. After a moment, she grinned and spashed some water at him with her hand.

Léan splashed water at her in return, amused, and dove underwater, swimming away.
