Laughing, Glory took a quick breath and dove under, following him. He outraced her easily, but she didn't mind.

Léan happened to pass by a tasty-looking fish while he was 'escaping,' so he stopped and grabbed it. He never made a big scene of it when he caught a fish, and he only caught them when he was hungry. So, he turned away and quietly killed it before eating it. He thought it was just plain cruel to really bite down and eat it alive.

Glory caught up to him and rolled her eyes in a 'you and your fish' way before going up to take another breath.

Léan frowned, following her back up as he nibbled on the fish contently. "I like fish. This is like...like...hot dogs are to you humans!" he muttered. He then frowned even more. "I don't understand why you call it a hot dog. Sure, it's hot from being cooked...but it is not made out of dogs."

"I don't get it either," Glory replied. "Not everything has to make sense, anyways."

"It bothers me when things don't make sense," Léan retorted nonchalantly, through a mouthful of fish. "Then again, you humans make little sense to me in the first place," he added, amused.

"You are SO not one to talk," Glory teased. "You make about as much sense as I do."

Léan looked playfully offended. "Oh, do I? Humans are a very peculiar species to me." He stretched himself out, then leaned back more, closing his eyes. "I don't find myself peculiar in any way."

"And I don't find myself strange at all, either, so obviously we're both strange," Glory reasoned, teasingly.

Léan chuckled as he finished up his fish. "Mm...I suppose so. I would rather be strange than normal, after all...normal is boring." His tail flicked back and forth.

"I agree," Glory said. "Normal is boring." She grinned. "I mean, just look at my friends."

Léan chuckled. Then, he paused for a moment, seeming to be thinking about something. "...You know, I shouldn't have gone to visit my mother's grave. I had the feeling I wasn't alone--that there were eyes on me." He was half-lying. He'd turned around and seen his father there.

"That's creepy," Glory said. "Did you figure out who it was?"

Léan's shoulders went up to his chin. "...It was my father. I saw him," he murmured. "I'm worried. About Arcturus. I'm worried our father followed me home."

"And you didn't say anything about this before we left?" Glory asked. "Don't you think that MIGHT have been useful information?"

Léan sighed. "I talked to Arcturus before we left. They're hiding away in an area near your home, but not directly there. They made sure to leave quietly at night--at least, Arcturus told me that was what they were going to do. I'm concerned, of course, but I think Arcturus' drive to protect Damon will keep them safe."

"Well... If it comes to it, I could give Nana a call and have her check on them," Glory said. "Considering we're in the middle of the wrong ocean right now, that's about all I can do."

Léan sighed in relief and nodded. "Yes...that would work. Perhaps halfway through the week, just to check on them. I...would advise your Nana to stay away from the water for a while. If you think I was bad with humans...my father is thirty times worse than I am. He's pulled humans off of boats and killed them before."

"I'll let her know. I'll probably call her tonight, anyways. She wanted me to check in every so often," Glory said.

Léan nodded, chewing his lip. He felt bad about leaving Archie behind to deal with their father, if he found them. But when he had confided in Archie, Archie had told him not to worry, and to just go and have fun. "Thank you..."

"They'll be alright," Glory reassured. "Like you said, if there's one thing your brother is good at, it's getting away."

"I'm concerned about Damon more so than my brother," Léan murmured quietly. "Arcturus would be able to get away, no problem. But Damon...in his current condition, he can't swim quickly. And Arcturus...he won't leave Damon behind by himself."

"If you're that worried, I can go and call Nana right now," Glory offered. "My cell phone is inside in my bag, it'll take two minutes to run inside and grab it."

Léan shook his head. "No...no...if my father wants to strike, he'll do so at night, when there's less chance of a human seeing him. It would be best if the two of them stayed in hiding and didn't come out...or they were taken somewhere safe, on land. Right now, hiding is the best option. We can wait for a while before alerting your Nana to the situation."

"Well, let me know and I'll give her the heads-up," Glory said.
