Surprisingly, the shark swam a little closer, seeming more used to her now. It seemed it had also accepted her, as well as Léan, as a foster parent. Léan yawned slightly, stretching.

"You look tired," Glory said as she let the shark brush against her like a cat. She'd have to remember to use lotion later to prevent any rashes from the shark's abrasive skin.

"Aaahh, not really..." Léan stretched himself out. "I'm just trying to think of something to do. We have a while, yet, before the sun sets..."

"True," Glory said. Grinning, she went over to him and dunked him, using his shoulders to push him down.

Léan immediately popped back up and dunked her, before swimming off, above the reef. The shark followed him, unsure if this was a dangerous situation or a game.

Glory was able to get a quick breath just before he dunked her and took off after him. She knew the chase was pointless, since he was so much faster, but it was the principle of the thing. She grinned as she followed him. It felt good to just play a game.

Léan ducked underwater as well. He was slowed by the shark, which was trying desperately to keep up. He made sure to keep pace with it, acting very much unlike himself.

Glory was having a hard time keeping up as well, since there were no rocks around for her to use to kick off of. After a minute or so, she was forced to surface to breathe.

Léan had stopped a little ways up, to give the shark a break. He had his head above water. "I think we should play a slower game," he commented, eyeing the tired animal.

Glory nodded.

"I agree," she said. "It's easier to keep up with you when I'm not in such open water."

Léan nodded, then swam back to her, the shark in tow. It was like a mother and baby duck. "So, what do we do?"

"It's up to you," Glory said. "Though I may head back closer to the shore soon, I'm getting tired."

"Let's head back, then." Léan led the way. The shark stayed back with Glory, finding that Léan's pace was too quick.

Glory followed him, setting a slower pace than before. She grinned when the shark stayed closer to her.

"He's too fast for me, too," she said softly. It didn't matter if the shark understood her or not. It was the principle of the thing.

Eventually, Léan managed to reach land. He seemed pleased by this, and he laid himself out in the shallower water. The shark swam around in uneasy circles--it wasn't used to being this close to land.

Glory sighed happily once her feet touched the bottom.

"Ah... Mostly solid land," she said, laying herself out in the shallows. She made sure her head was in the shallowest part, so she wouldn't drown.

Léan closed his eyes, resting in the shallows. His head was partially above water--one ear was above water. The shark swam around in the slightly deeper water, hunting for fish.

"I think this proves I need to work on my endurance," Glory said as she relaxed. "I'm exhausted."

"I'm just lazy," Léan murmured, amused. "I cannot believe you are tired. It wasn't even that much swimming."

"Well excuse me for living in the city since I was a kid," Glory replied. "I didn't get much time to work on my swimming." Stretching her arms over her head, she arched her back a little to pop some of her vertabrae back into place. "I'm not exactly a strong swimmer like you are."

"Well, that's true. But it still wasn't a lot of swimming," Léan added, frowning. He stretched himself out a bit more, seeming to like just relaxing and doing nothing.

"Keep in mind, I'm used to having the rocks around to help," Glory pointed out. "I'm not used to open water." She shrugged a bit. "I'll get better at it eventually."

"Mm. That's good." Léan wiggled over onto his back and stared up at the sky, absently. He had a far-off look in his eyes.

"You're quiet," Glory observed after a few moments. "What are you thinking about?"

"...Hm?" Léan looked around for a moment and then coughed. "Nothing in particular..."
