Aric had decided on a course of action already. He wasn't too forward to begin with, unless he saw a very willing soul in front of him. Of course, he didn't see that at the moment.

He kept his distance and didn't say anything for a while. He wanted to give Vigil a chance to relax now that he was away from all the bedlam back out in the main room and had no one attempting to grope at him.

After a good twenty minutes of sitting in silence, the male blinked a little. He lay back on the bed, sprawled and looking rather gorgeous.

"If you bought me, why haven't you even talked to me?" He questioned, having expected to have been ravaged as soon as he was in the room alone with Aric. It was what he had seen with the other boys, and now he wanted to see what was going on with his buyer. He was still wary, but...not as much as he had been.

Aric raised an eyebrow.

"Well, you don't like it out there, right? I thought I'd let you relax for a bit. Because as soon as my time's up here, you have to go back out there, if what I'm thinking is right."

He sounded sincere, and quite polite.

It was strange to be treated like this. Sure, the owners treated him well...but the men who came to see him were never this polite or nice to him.

"What diseases do you have?" He questioned, golden eyes narrowed. "Are you sick? Dying?" He sniffed the air, "You certainly aren't dead, yet..." It wasn't meant to be taken offensively, but he had never met a healthy male who acted this way around him. Not in this place.

"Well, yeah," he replied, cheerily and somewhat jokingly. "I don't look that much like a zombie. That'd be interesting if I secretly was one, though..."

He shook his head, realizing he was getting off-topic and weird. "Diseases?" He scratched his head. "Uh. None that I can think of."

"So...you don't want to rape me, and you're not diseased..." He paused, "Are you a woman?" He glared at that; he came from a place that didn't need females, and he certainly found them even more demeaning than human males. "I don't like women."

"If I was a woman, I'd have boobs," he replied, just as cheerily as before, patting his flat and somewhat muscular chest pointedly. "No boobs here."

"Then...what is wrong with you?" Vigil rose and peered at him carefully, before walking over and poking at his chest a moment. He then continued to poke down his body, trying to figure out if there was something Aric wasn't telling him.

"There has to be something, or you'd be touching me...and...molesting me...and making me unhappy."

Aric watched him, somewhat amused. "Naw, there's nothing wrong with me. I'm just not a pig. Like most of the people out there."

"That's weird..." He made a face, but pressed a bit closer, sniffing him. "You smell nice..." he offered, his arms going around him and his head resting against his shoulder. "Are you nice, too?" He seemed to be so far, but...he could never tell for sure.

"Well...yeah, according to everyone. Except for my cheating ex," he joked, grinning and carefully returning the hug--gently.

"I'm sorry someone cheats on you." He whispered, "If you are as nice as you say and act...then you don't deserve it." He'd spent a long time talking with Shode about these matters. "You should stay after hours...I'm sure it'd be fun to swim with you with Shode."

Aric contemplated that for a moment. "Well...my ex was my first real relationship...thing. He was only with me for the status and the money. Practically cleared out my wallet every time we went out somewhere. There are a lot of people like that, I guess...glad I'm not one of them."

The other request startled him a bit, but he thought about it. "Well, I am here for about two weeks before I have to head back towards the country area, just outside the suburbs. I work for a prominent family out there--I'm on vacation. I don't have a place to stay, yet."

"Oh..." That didn't sound very fun. "They took me away from my brother." He offered, shrugging a little, "And landed me in here, where I'm powerless." A sigh and he nuzzled closer. "I hate it...but they take care of me..."

"Maybe you can stay here with us. It would be nice to have someone around that we don't see every day. I'm sure you could work something out with them."

Aric thought about that for a while.

"That does sound kind of nice. But, of course, I already have a high-paying job guarding the grandson of the Aisenyls. Ah..."

An idea suddenly struck him...though it was risky.

"I could always bring the kid here. He's been looking for an excuse to get away from his grandparents. I'm not paid to protect them, after all. I'd have to go get him, though..."

"Depends how old he is." He replied softly, sighing slightly. "Would you stop being nice if he was here?" Because he liked this. He could touch someone without being ravaged as if the men around him were rutting animals and he reeked of pheromones.

Aric chewed his lip a bit.

"He's seventeen. Just turned seventeen recently...and nah, I'd still be a nice guy."

"He may be let in, then. I'm glad.." He yawned some, "You should stay tonight." He added, nodding. "With us."

Aric nodded. "All right, then. I'll do that. By the way. Are you cooped up in here all the time? When's the last time you were allowed outside? Because...

"I'm thinking, because I'm trustworthy, I could talk the owners into letting me take you on a little road trip to fetch Wyatt. He's the Aisenyl boy, the seventeen year-old."

"I haven't been outside in...three years, now." He offered, "And this room isn't mind...it's a room that usually Brae or Benji use." He shrugged, sighing a little bit. "I don't know if I could go...I do need to be submerged in water every so often."

Aric pondered this.

"Well...my excuse to the owners, which is semi-valid, is that I need someone to help move Wyatt's stuff--he'll need to pack some stuff in order to live here. It's a short trip, only about fifteen to twenty minutes, if I speed a bit. Maybe if we got you in water for a bit before we left?"

"You probably don't even need an excuse, they aren't that mean...they'd let you stay if you paid them well enough. They aren't just in it for the money, but things break around here a lot, so it would be good to have some kind of money going around. Maybe if you paid rent."

Vigil offered, sighing and nuzzling closer. "I...can't decide if I like it here or not."

Aric reached up idly and stroked his hair, more in a comforting way than a lusty way. Though, that way would come out if Vigil wanted it to.

"You say they separated you from your brother?" he recalled, thinking. "Do you know where he is? Does he live in the sea, maybe? With the resources the Aisenyls have, it wouldn't be that difficult to locate him if we had a description and a trick to finding him...which we do, actually...for finding anything in the sea. That trick's a secret, though...unless you'd like to know? If I could get the Aisenyls to help reestablish contact between you and your brother...would that make you a little happier?"

He really didn't like seeing him upset in any way...he didn't like seeing anyone upset or sad, actually. He had a kindred, but playful, heart.

Vigil purred softly against the hand in his hair, the soothing motion making him smile slightly and nuzzle the hand. It was a very nice feeling, really, and he loved it, for now.

"I don't want my brother here...not in this place. He's too young and naive to be used like this." He sighed, licking his lips, "I...don't want him to be found, either, not by anyone. I only hope he's okay. I'd rather go back to him, if I could...but I doubt that would happen any time soon." Or at all, most likely. He worried his bottom lip a moment, then looked up at him. "I just want to feel whole again. I feel so...half-hearted here. Like I fear everything and love nothing..." It was a difficult way to live your life.
