Personally I use Linux, Debian to be specific. My favorite Linux distro is Ubuntu, but there are several that are just amazing.
I've got a vendetta against Microsoft/Windows, and dislike Mac OS X only slightly less.

I just love the idea of being able to change any aspect of the computer/software that I see fit.

Don't worry though, I won't judge you based on your preferred operating system. :P

EDIT - I'd like to point out that I use Debian instead of Ubuntu because my hardware doesn't meet the Ubuntu requirements and so it runs VERY slowly. Debian is lightning speed though, and after all, is called 'The Universal Operating System'. :P

I'm not trying to be snide, but, Vista actually functions properly for you?
I haven't used it extensively but it's renowned for it's broken software and such.
They certainly improved with Windows 7.

I've had vista on my last two laptops (my old one broke because I chucked it against a wall, ripped the screen off and then knifed it, not because of software problems XD) and I much prefer it to XP, which I had on my old desktop, Wndows 7, which my father has and whatever my friend has on her mac o.o

I have no idea why I like it so much, but i know I'll be heartbroken if I have to get a new laptop with Windows 7. D:

But, here's a trick that you could use if you do have to get a new computer without Vista. Just change the hard drives. :D

Haha, I still had my desktop and my grandmas desktop, so I was fine for a while. I'm an internet addict too T-T it's tragic.

I <3 Windows 7. I thought Vista was OK while I was using it (I didn't really care one way or the other about it). And then I upgraded to 7 and all the computer problems I'd had disappeared. I hadn't realized they were being caused by Vista. So now I hate Vista.

I refuse to use my fathers computer so I don't really have much experience with Windows 7. I guess it's just out of my practice, I dislike change n_n

T_T But I like having a computer that doesn't go to sleep when I unplug it and that's disc drive works!

lol. Well, I haven't used either of them very much, but I've used 7 more than Vista.
My sister has 7, her husband has Vista, and I was just down in Tennessee visiting them a while ago and just had to test both of them.
I mean, her husband's isn't too bad off and only has a few issues. Her's though I actually liked.

I use Windows XP. Though I use my parents computer, so I don't have a choice one way or the other XD. I have a computer in my room, but it's a Windows '98. It's not hooked up to the internet though. But I know that XP does have some issues. I've used the new Windows. And it was SOOO confusing the first time I used it. But when I get my own up to date computer, I'm going to let my nerdy best friend find one suitable for me 8D

Windows. I'm still using XP because I got my current PC before 7 was out and I was NOT going to use Vista.
I'm upgrading to 7 after something happens to my computer and I need to fix/upgrade it. I just hope I can save all my po- I mean sensitive documents, before I change.
