um, every friggin thing. i have no idea how to earn money, which is the biggest thing.

Yes, and try to find the 'FAQs' and 'Rules' threads which should be in this section. They pretty much answer everything.
If you do not feel like reading them, the basic ways of getting gold is by posting in discussions and playing a lot of games. This site is quite different from Gaia. It encourages healthy communication when posting therefore, in doing so, you get rewarded with gold. If you are creative and like to draw, might I suggest making an art shop thread? That's a good way to make some gold on here. :) There are many possibilities, you just gotta find em. Don't get discouraged. ;)
