Well i made up my own anima though idk others have used it it weird ways
in my view its people who have been grafted with animal dna by an organization who is trying to create the perfect being. They serve the leader who is in a way their' master ' while undergoing experiments and things by the doctors but there was an explosion to where some of them escaped and are on the run so the ones that are left are hunting them down.
