This role-play is between myself and Wicked Sickness. Thank you. ^^

Flutter let out a deep sigh as she stood outside the door to her 'home'. It wasn't an ordinary household, even if it looked it from the outside. She held a notebook close to her chest, which held information on a person (though she'd never show him if she could help it). The particular person was wanted by an evil military force, ironically run by her father, though she hated them. She wanted to protect him- she guaranteed to herself she would.

Seeing the figure, she walked up to them, tapping their shoulder. "Excuse me? I-I'm new in town... I'm looking for the supermarket? I ran out of food, but I don't know how to get there..." That's a normal way to approach a human isn't it? I have to get his notice without coming off oddly...

Aaron was on his way to the store to get a few things that he had run out of the night before. Milk, bread, the usual things that people often went to the store for more than once a month. It was an average day for him. Pretty nice out, the normal people waving hello to him. He'd even stopped to pet a dog its owner had been walking. When he felt a tap on his shoulder, something he hadn't been expecting, Aaron jumped and quickly turned around, half expecting someone he knew to be there.

The girl he saw definitely wasn't someone he had seen before. She said she was new and that explained it but the way she said what she needed really threw him off. Ran out of food? Did people really run out of food? Aaron thought that almost everyone went out and got food before they literally ran out. Not to mention the supermarket wasn't that hard of a place to find. He pushed those negative thoughts aside though and flashed her a friendly smile. "I'm on my way there right now, actually. You can just follow me," he said to her, holding his hand out in his usual greeting for strangers. "I'm Aaron Cassidy."

She tried to remember what she'd heard about the hand extention. Tawlina said that it means a handshake, right? So I shake it...Right? Nodding, she took the hand greeting and shook it lightly, smiling up at him. "My name is Flutter Catane. It's nice to meet you, Mister Cassidy."

She watched his mannerisms carefully- recognizing them would come in handy. The notebook she had stayed firmly in her free arm, hugged tight to her side. "Are you sure it would be alright for me to follow you, though? Wouldn't that be odd? And I'd really not wish to be a burden if I can help it... I'd be happy just being told where to go." Though I do plan to follow him anyway... Not that he needs to know that.

People were naming their children more odd names as the years went by, Aaron decided when she said what her name was. What happened to all the normal names for people? Now they were coming up with things that were just silly. Flutter was kind of cool though, much more original than his own name. On the other hand though he figured she must have been made fun of for it at some point in her life which was terribly sad. "Call me Aaron," he said to her when she called him Mr. Cassidy. "Mr. Cassidy is my father." He laughed at his own joke, hoping she would catch onto it and laugh along with him.

"Odd?" He repeated when she asked if following him would be odd. this girl was definitely different. Maybe she was from one of those religious cults or something where people were extremely sheltered. "It's not odd or a burden. I'm going there anyways and you need to know where it is. It's a lot easier just to come with me. You'll be going the same direction and stuff anyways so it'll be like walking together even if I did just give you directions. Besides, I can help you carry your things back if you need any help." Aaron smiled politely at her and nodded his head in the direction he had been walking. "Come on, it's totally fine. You're probably hungry and want to get that food soon anyways." He turned and started walking again, hoping that she would follow along without him having to reassure her anymore.
