"Just Professor," he corrected," Or Prof. I've never been called that. The Prof...Prof? No it doesn't sit well. Professor is fine. Well now, I'm going to press this button." He pressed a big clear bluish button. The noise began again. In less than a second it had stopped.
"Right now we are parked outside your house. Telepathic link between the ships computer and you, it's a little complex don't ask. Go out and double check if you like," he said standing up again.

"No, I think I believe you. I've seen quite enough to tell you know what you speak of and I certainly don't at the moment, but I can at least understand you wording m- er... Professor." She nodded simply. "Sorry- I'm used to titles, I suppose. However, what are you going to do aside from taking me to my own abode?"

"I am going to give you a choice, Miyu...do you have a last name or is it just Miyu?"

"I have one, but it's long and hyphenated as I haven't figured out which makes most sense to use, so I usually don't worry about it. Even clients call me by first name."

"Alright then, just Miyu. I'm going to give you a choice. You can walk out those doors and return to your normal life, or you can come with me and we can go... anywhere," he said.

"Was life ever normal anyway?" She looked to the man with a confused look. "And why would you want me to join you anyhow? I'd only get in the way somehow eventually, wouldn't I? Though I did have fun today, is it really right to just barge in and disrupt what is considered your own normalcy?"

"Regardless of why I want you to come I can't force you to do anything the choice is completely up to you. Either stay here or come with me and go anywhere in space and time," he said in a mystical tone.

She laughed, smiling still. "I'd like to come, but I want to know why you'd want me to first. The way the minds of others work is one of the most interesting things in the universe to me, so I'm really, really curious!"

"Been mucking about on my own for a while, my choice, but now I've started talking to myself, giving me ear-ache," he said staring back at the console.

"But does that make me any better then anyone else? I only met you by fluke, after all. I doubt you knew already that I was running for milk or anything like that."

"That's all just a fluke. Could have been any one, but it wasn't anyone it was you. Could be fate, destiny or it could just be a bit of luck but that's where we stand you and me in the Tardis any where any when coming yes or no?" he said to her with a smile.

She giggled a bit, smiling sheepishly. "But what will we do about the milk? Do you already have the milk we'd need here?" Don't know why, but the milk seems to be an easy thing to bring up to ask questions... Her laughter lingered on slightly as she thought on it.

"Oh yeah there's a whole kitchen full of food and such back there. I think it's some where past the tennis court, or was it the basket ball court. I can't remember. It's before the library though I know that, unless the library has moved," he said pondering. He looked at her. "I can't guarantee you'll like what you see out there, but I will be exciting. Some times more excited than what happened out there today," he said," but the decision is up to you. We can come back any time you want."

She laughed, smiling easily to him. "I'll make sure to remember that. Do I need to get anything from home to bring though? I feel wrong just taking whatever I need from you and not providing anything myself. It's not like I'm very useful."

"You keep putting yourself down like that? Why are you doing that? And no I don't think you'll need anything Wardrobe room is down the hall past the pool fifth door take a left two halls down on your left. I've got enough supplies here to feed and cloth most of King Richard's army, I should know, I did. You'll be fine. If you want any personal effect you might want to grab them while we're parked here. I'll wait for you," he said smiling at her. He just glad to be with some one again. It was so dull adventuring by yourself.

"I have what I need, I think. Because the one thing I need, I always keep with me. If it's really as you say, then I'm fine departing whenever you wish. I'm in for the learning experience- I'm already excited!"

"Brilliant! Where do you want to go first. Forward or backward?" he asked leaning over the controls.

She smiled. "Wherever you wish to go is fine. I'm not worried about where or when or anything- I just want to go with you. It seems like fun to me, so that's why."

"This is your first time in a time machine. You don't have to give me a date, pick to the future or the past," he said.

She laughed. "That's the point though. I have no preference." Smiling, she walked a bit more to him and hugged around his neck briefly, curiously looking at the controls. "How can you understand how this thing works though? It looks so complex to me."

"It's not about preference. Just pick a direction at random and that's where we'll go. It is pretty complex, only people from my race can fly it. Genetic interface, unless you are a time lord, or more specifically me, the Tardis won't fly," he said.

"So I just choose randomly then?" She smiled, thinking of which word came to mind first. "Past? It's the first word that I thought of, so..."

"There you go, alright," he pressed a few buttons and pulled a lever. "Step out those doors right now we are 100 years in the past. Should we settle here or dare to go further?" he asked grinning.

"Really it makes no difference to me. I sort of just randomly said something like you said to, I wasn't really thinking either way..." She laughed nervously. "That was...really, really fast though..."

"Well it's only 100 years. We could try for 500 years?" he said. He pressed a few buttons and pulled a lever. The Tardis rocked a little but eventually settled. "There we go, outside those doors we are 500 years from 'going to by milk'" he said smiling.
