The beginning is fine.

It isn't 1500 years in the future. Even Darcy wouldn't live that long. I think.
It's minimum 5 years.

Embeth, if we could just stretch that out, because this is meant to be heart-wrenchingly difficult. It is meant to be a long winded torment. But not quite so long, otherwise it'd get dull.

The time requirement will not work for Embeth. Embeth is 10 years old and hasn't fully developed yet; she wouldn't comprehend being even 13 (and having a period), so the dream would instantly be seen as false. Likewise, Quetzalcoatl will not likely be at the Academy in even 5 years (this is only a temporary assignment), so if he was at the Academy at that time it would also be seen as false.

in the end I said 500 because 1500 was overdone right...? ._.

@diamondt: a side note: Myrr should be able to bend the acid rain as it's a water-based solution (and a weak solution, so more water than normal, at that). It might not be as easy to bend, but it is still bendable.

No, Flux, it seems real because they have memories and everything! Otherwise it'd be way too simple. That's the problem. Both could be real. It's not easy. I have said this to Dia. Otherwise it'd be clear that one of the is false. They have memories.

The way Urbeth and I laid it out, it will seem more real because there would be no time distortion. We agreed that for both of our characters a time distortion makes the dream less real, even with memories.

No, you see, this is set after graduation. There is no 'time distortion!' They have memories of what they've been doing the last 5 years, and it is simply like their lives in five years. No memory gap, everything seems seamless.

It is simply in the same time period. You see, I planned for this. They are in the same time. Tesla will just be all on his own. No-one will be able to help him, or help him figure out which is which. What if instead of 'waking up', he just dies when killed?

@diamondt: The dreams will be different, but Pip would see the dreams taking place in the same time frame (5+ years in a future), but for Embeth and Quetzalcoatl this would actually make the dream less real because Embeth would note very distinctly the passage of time and Quetzalcoatl does not have the same background - he's extraplanar with a profession already.

@Pip: yes, Quetzalcoatl would leave Embeth on her own. How could the Dream Lord generate a dream reality of a completely foreign plane with different physics, races, societies, and customs when the Dream Lord is a product of this plane?

Embeth would just fall asleep in the academy, and wake up in the other reality, with a head full of memories of her graduation, her birthdays, her childhood and whatnot.

Well, Flux. Dream Lord. It's sort of in the name. And the dreams won't be different. The same dream, perhaps different locations, same time frame.

Like your dreams actually, everything is so.... Logical. Even when you're pink with red dots it's real, except those dreams áre relaistic, and do have working senses XD

@Pip: so, if the Dream Lord doesn't generate the dream reality the characters' wills should have direct influence on the dream reality then, correct?

@Dia: Exactly. You don't know you're having a dream when you're dreaming. Simple as.

Flux, she is creating the dream reality. The dream makes sense for each individual. Things they would do in five years time.

@diamondt: I haven't dreamed in years, so I forget what they're like.

@Pip: then my character should be able to simply alter the dream landscape by thought alone.
