Meet the Twins Hikaru and Hikari

Is very chivalrous, since he treats girls like he'd want others to treat his sister, and always has the tendency to look out for the underdog. He is incredibly lazy when it comes to school, cheating off his sister half the time and skipping class the other half, except in classes he really likes like Science, and eventually Math when it becomes advanced enough. Naturally smart.
History: Son of a warrior and a scientist, he's always had the best of both worlds. However, that scientific father was also one of the most powerful psychics on the planet and has killed plenty of people unintentionally because his powers often went out of control. This is why his mother sent her twin children to Ipswitch, to keep them safe from their powers psychic powers, at least until he became stable again.
Abilities: Was trained to be a warrior by his mom, so knows the art of swords dance and most martial arts he can get his hands on. These were also useful for the discipline needed to control his emotions. Also has telekinetic abilities, but doesn't use them even at home, unless its to clean his room, because he considers them more of a curse than a blessing.
Weaknesses: Has a psychic link with his sister than whenever one of them suffers from negative emotion, it affects the other (she gets cuts when he's mad or sad, he sees horrible visions when she is). He therefore represses a lot of emotions and is afraid of releasing them. Is also incredibly shy when he likes someone, to the point of almost being unable to talk to them.

Extremely smart, she has the brains and the study skills to memorize the whole book and is only rather outgoing in the class with the teachers during class.

However, she has really strong telepathic abilities, able to listen in on others' thoughts with no problem, and capable of reading even the deepest secrets of their minds, but only does that if she likes you. Also has strong suggestive abilities, putting thoughts and actions directly into your mind, and you will do them. The only mind she is incapable of reading is her brother's, and the only mind he can read is hers.
Weaknesses: Has a psychic link with her brother that whenever one of them suffers from negative emotion, it affects the other (she gets cuts when he's mad or sad, he sees horrible visions when she is). She therefore represses a lot of emotions and is afraid of releasing them. Is also incapable of fighting.

Personality: Varick is your typical hardworking, mature, sweetheart. His maturity greatly surpasses his peers and often makes teachers confused as to why a 23 year old is in their class. But, due to his maturity, Varick is often picked on and isolated. Not many students want to be his friend as he's 'different' and 'weird.' Thus, Varick hangs with brother almost always, or at least when school permits him. Varick and his brother are very close and Varick would do anything to put a smile on his younger brother's face. The two are very close, but this does cause some conflict, as Varick can get a tad too overprotective. But, Varick is sincerely concerned for his younger brother as his parent's last words before their tragic death were "Protect your brother...."
History: Orphaned along with his younger brother, Varick and he spent many hours alone in the crowded orphanage. One sad day, the place burnt to the ground, killing just about everyone. Miraculously, Varick and his brother survived and fled the scene. Prior to wandering into the school's headmaster, the two brothers were proclaimed dead in the fire. This story died upon the news of the "cursed lucky brothers" arrival at Ipswich Academy. Unfortunately, Varick was accused of murdering his parents as well as arson charges. These were dropped once the investigators discovered something about Varick - he's blind. But, his blindness is different than the norm. Varick cannot see in the broad daylight or bright light. Abilities: He's rather fast and quick to react. He might not be a genius, but his unmatched speed and flexibility help him out of his many sticky situations.

Likes: Seeing his brother smile, cute girls, music, the wind, the rain, and going on long walks
Dislikes: Seeing his brother cry, stuck-up girls, rap music, the sun, hot days, and not understanding lectures

Hikari looked at the the school with wide eyes. So this would be her new home, away from her dad, away from her mom, away from everything she knew.

"Aw, Kari, what's with that look?"

A familiar voice, a familiar ruffle of the hair. That's true, she had Hikaru, still. She would always have him, her dear older twin brother. A smile formed on her lips as she cuddled close to his big, warm chest.

"Nn, its nothing, Hi-kun" she whispered, only for his ears. "Just looking forward to this new place."

"Konichiwa!" A black-haired blue-eyed male walked up behind the two. He wore a cheesy, but charming grin on his face. "Headmaster sent me to... whoa," the male tripped over a small pebble. Falling forward, he hit the female with all his weight.

"Ummm," his face was red as he looked down at the girl was was now squishing. "I'm so sorry," he said offering her a hand. "Please, please for-f-forgive me." His sweet face seemed to reassure that he was a genuine sweetheart. "Oh, I'm... I'm Varick V. Walker." He gave the twins a weak smile. "If you... if you'd follow me, we can get you settled in."

Hikari blushed, scared, nervous yet thrilled to be this close to a boy. She was about to take his hand, when she suddenly found herself getting up on her own, and Hikaru lifting her to her feet.

Hi-kun! He was just trying to be nice! Hikari passed these thoughts at her brother. Yes, her psychic abilities were strong, but Hikaru's were quite a bit more useful Hers only made her awkward.

"It's cool, dude," said Hikaru, trying to wave him off. "I think we can find our way by ourselves."

"Hi-kun!"Hikari couldn't stop her voice this time. Being with her brother could be so embarrassing! "I'm sorry, Walker-kun, I think we would greatly appreciate it. I mean, of its not a bother... "

Hikari smiled shyly at the young man. He seemed sincere, and he was quite cute.

"Kariiii..." muttered Hikaru, a warning tone in his voice.

Just let me meet him... just a bit...

Hikaru sighed. "Fine, I guess we can go with you...

"Well, you really don't have to if you don't want. I'm not really... well, it's whatever makes you happy." Varick smiled sweetly at them. "If you want to join me, I'll be having lunch on the patio. As you know... we arrived... early."

Walking backwards, he looked at the twins. "So which of you is the older?" His hair flopped into his face. Blowing upward, he giggled as he saw a butterfly land in his hair. "What is with you?" His eyes crossed as it landed on his nose. "Oh! Hey! It's you! I remember you... you were but a fat worm not too long ago!"

Hikari blushed slightly, in awe of him and how close a relation he had with nature. It was truly a beautiful sight. A human...was he...? Oh, a little brother! And... what's with his weird sight...? No, she was doing it again! She had to stop herself from reading into him! It was terribly rude! Hikari shook her head, trying to shake off her curiosity. She had to learn to know people how the rest of the world did, talking.

Hikaru ignored his sister's usual information download and laughed. "I swear, you're as much a space cadet as Kari here! I'm the oldest, Hikaru. Don't call me Hi-kun, please."

He put a hand over his sister's head, forcing her to look towards him.

"Kari, its rude not to look at the person you're talking to and go off in your own little world." Hikaru's tone was playful, as if teaching a little kid.

"Ah! Gomen!" she responded, quickly bowing and rising to look at him. "My name is Hikari, Lionheart Hikari" she said as she pushed a few bangs of red hair from her eyes. "Hajimemashite!"

"Be... quiet...? Just how far do you think we'll go, Deka?" said Hikari, her face as red as her hair. Of course, with this girl, not much was really needed for her to be quite loud, but she didn't know that yet. "You are completely shameless, mister! And I don't like pain, so you can't be sadistic at all, you have to be gentle..." Her smile, still shy, was a bit coy, but a hint of flirting hid behind it.
