Amais held in a laugh so that the teachers wouldn't look and stare at her. Her smiled brightened though.

"Yeah, there was a spill. A student was supposed to bring the chemical to the fume hood...as you can tell she didn't make it very far. She made it as far as my lab table. You know...some band kids can be clumsy!"

Kasimir chuckled, amused. "He has children doing his dirty work? Isn't that against child labor laws or something? If he needs a pianist that badly, perhaps he should start looking to hire someone instead of taking it out on school children."

He didn't even bother to keep his voice down.

"K-Kaz!" Amais exclaimed and looked around her. She couldn't do with him what she did with Reika and put her hand over his mouth. "Besides, I think this will pass...hopefully soon."

"Well, we'll see," Kasimir offered, nodding. "If it doesn't then I'll go to the administration...not that they'd pay me much heed, anyway--they already see me as a troublemaker. I don't even follow their guidelines."

Amais smiled, "Thank you."

Looking around at the crowd, she saw the principles huddle together as they argued whether or not to cancel school for the day.

"Anyway, I like it when you don't follow the guidelines." Amais offered with a smile, "Although, I don' t want you to get in any trouble...but, it makes you seem like an actual person and not a programmed robot."

"No problem."

Kasimir glanced around hopefully. He would love for school today to be canceled. He wasn't so tired anymore, after this excitement, and he wanted to do something fun. "Thanks..." he murmured, smiling. "I don't like to follow other peoples' rules when I don't see a valid reason for them...for instance."

He brushed his fingers through his long hair. "What does it matter if males have long hair? Honestly? If women can have long hair, so can men."

Amais looked at Kasimir's hair then took a strand of her own and looked at it, "You know...your hair makes me a bit envious. It's nicer than mine."

Her slender fingers dropped the strand and many other kids started jumping around her and cheered. Another ran pass to tell another group of students that school was going to be cancelled until the chemical was cleaned out.

She looked back up at Kasimir, "Well, I understand what you mean. It suits you...it's hard to imagine other teachers here with long hair." She closed her eyes to imagine it and shivered as she did.

"I use expensive shampoo," Kasimir chuckled, flipping his hair out. He seemed elated that school had been canceled. "Heh...I don't even know what to do, now."

He then paused and looked around at the gaggle of students around him. "Huh...I feel like going out to the coastline for fun...it's not too far from here, after all. A short drive...I wonder how many students I could pack in my SUV. It's pretty big."

Amaya came out of nowhere and glomped Amais from behind and shot her hand up in the air, "I want to go!"

"A-Amaya!" Amais couldn't support the added weight and ended up losing her balance, falling over with Amaya landing on her.

Reika walked up, "Make me second." Bending down she took Amais' arm and raised it as she helped the two girls up, "This one will make three."

Amais resisted the urge to faceplam.

Kasimir nodded, glancing around. "Anyone else half-decent you'd like to invite along? Don't invite any band kids, though. For spite."

Amais looked at Amaya-who was her usual bouncy self-as she raised her hand again, "Oh, there's Matt! He's Mom's kid!"

"Matt would be a good addition." Amais added.

When Amaya was about to list off a number of other people, Reika slipped her hand over her mouth causing the brunette to struggle in her hold. Amais giggled at the sight.

Kasimir chuckled, nodding. "Someone go fetch him, then...anyone else, or is that it?" He seemed content to bring along whoever they wanted, as long as they all behaved.

"That's pretty much the decent people we know." Amais answered as Amaya sprinted across the field and dragged Matt over. "All the people I knew were band kids, Reika knew the kids in...that one group, and Amaya knows the cheer team."

"Besides, Matt will be happy with going with a ton of girls!" Amaya laughed, "We caught whiff of what some of the other teachers were doing and there was that hot art class teacher that Matt really likes! He kisses up to her! She said she'd be heading to the coastline, too, you lucky dog."

"Shut up, Amaya." Matt grumbled and took his arm out of her grasp.

Amais took off her goggles and lab coat, then taking Reika's, she added them into the pile that the other chemistry students were making. She ignored the stares that the band students were giving her. Some of them remained nice and waved hello which she politely returned.

Kasimir swung his keys around and around in his hand, amused. Before he headed out to his car, he tapped an administration member on the shoulder and blatantly explained he was attempting to make the band students, who had had something to do with the 'accidental' chemical spill, jealous by taking some non-band students down to the beach.

He didn't want to be accused of having inappropriate relationships with his students, after all.

Under the heavy stares of the band students and the band director, Kasimir led the small group of students over to the parking lot, to his big black Dodge Durango. He had two cars, but this was the one he paraded around the most. The other was a very expensive custom Lamborghini that he was afraid to take out of his garage. He unlocked the car for them and hopped into the driver's seat. "Hop in."

Reika had made sure that Amais was well hidden beside her from the malicious students as they followed Kasimir. Amais was a bit ashamed that she couldn't just stand up for herself, but Reika's imagination caused her to fear even attempting-not that she would ever tell her. Amaya was just teasing Matt as they made their way to the vehicle.

"Shotgun." Reika called out and rushed over.

"Window!" Amais followed after Reika and sat behind her, leaving Matt and Amaya to fight for the other window over rock-paper-sciccors.

With a click of the seatbelt that Amais placed on herself, Matt climbed into the back and sat in the middle grumbing about how Amaya cheated.

Once everyone was securely in, Kasimir revved the engine into life and pulled out of his space, careful not to bowl over other smaller cars. Then, he made his way out onto the road and drove on through barely any traffic, towards the coastline.

The students carried their own small conversations as they watched the buildings go by.

Matt looked over at Amais, "I heared that the band students have some vendetta towards you."

With a sigh, Amais shrugged, "It's not that bad."

"Something about chemicals and the possiblity of ambushing you."

"Great..."

"I gave her pepper spray," Kasimir offered offhandedly. "If you want, Amais, I can also give you a weapon to use if they plan on seriously harming you. A switchblade..."

He was half-focused on the road, as always. He'd never gotten in an accident before, though he'd been stopped more than once in his life for speeding.

"She'll probably end up injuring herself...knowing how much of a klutz she is." Reika replied as she looked back at Amais, "And she could never really cut into her steak."

"Reika!" Amais exclaimed, a pink tint rising on her cheeks, "I can cut into my steak just fine!"

"Someone just needs to teach her how to use it is all." Reika shrugged and turned back to the road.

"I could teach her," Kasimir suggested, eyeing his rearview mirror and the car tailing him with distaste. "I know how to use a switchblade, seeing as my childhood neighborhood was rather rough and I felt I needed to protect myself."

"I would like that." Amais smiled, "Thank you. Sorry for being such a bother."

"Just make sure she doesn't trip and stab you." Reika looked back again and teased Amais.

She sent the girl a glare and turned to watch Matt and Amaya's game of rock-paper-scissors.

"No problem. I wouldn't want you getting hurt because of something that's my fault, anyway," Kasimir reasoned as he reached the coastline--it was somewhat crowded with families and mostly adults...

He parked in an empty space, hopping out. "Do you want to go in the water, or leave our shoes here and walk along the beach?" He glanced around, interested.

"It's not your fault at all, I could barely breath being in the class anyway." Amais admitted.

There was a squeal in the back as Amaya jumped out and threw off her shoes proceeding to run off to the water, "Catch ya later!"

Reika shook her head and followed suit, claiming that she should make sure that Amaya didn't drown herself. Matt, well, he took off on his own as he found the object of his admiration, only waving to the two he was leaving behind. Amais gaped at her friends and she looked up at Kasimir with a smile as she began to slip off her shoes and socks,

"Well, I'd like to walk around for a bit before joining them in the water."

Kasimir grinned at them and then took his combat boots off, as well as his old black socks. "Sounds good," he agreed, rolling up his pantlegs a bit so they wouldn't get wet as they walked. "Which direction should we walk in?"

The right way led to a more nature-filled, scenic area, while the left led towards a more densely human-occupied area. The right side also seemed more rocky.

Amais looked around and pressed her lips together as she thought about it. It was rocky on the right side, although the scenic area was her favorite.

She pointed to the right, "How about over there? It's a great spot."
