Kasimir glanced over, thoughtfully. "It doesn't seem as crowded...good." He locked up his car, then stood by her. "Ready when you are."

"Ok!" Amais smiled and started heading towards the area, half-paying attention to where she was walking as she watched Amaya splash Reika with water.

"Hey, Kaz..." Amais began as she avoided some rocks, "Of all the schools you had to choose, I know that there was an opening in ours, why the most uptight one?"

Kasimir watched her friends splashing each other, amused, as he contemplated her question. "Well...let's just say I'm not fond of 'stupid rules.' Mind you, I don't do well with authority figures in general. But I dislike useless rules and heavy, unneeded restrictions. I wanted to try and change that. I hoped my influence would do something."

"I hope your hard work doesn't go to waste." Amais replied, "But, I'm sure the head of the school likes you...or else he wouldn't have hired you. Unfortunately, he's blinded by the teacher's acts and has no idea how scrict they are."

She kept moving onwards, stopping to rest on a large rock sitting on it and looking out at the waves. "I didn't apply for a strict Catholic school." Amais took a deep breath and let out a sigh as she brushed her raven locks behind her ear, "To be honest, I like that you came to our school, it's nice to have someone to rely on and understand you...you know?"

"I'm sure if I gather evidence for him, he will understand. Perhaps I could suggest him sitting in on some classes and getting input from students on a monthly basis? That would help him keep track of things..."

Kasimir had been running ideas through his head for a while, now. He smiled, nodding. "I'm glad you feel that way...I like to think of you all as equals, so I don't want you all to hate me..."

"That would be a good idea." Amais commented and shrugged a bit, "Hate does go around full circle."

She jumped off the rock and began moving again, "What did you like doing in your hometown? Other than it being sketchy and all..."

"It does, indeed...sweet karma..." Kasimir chuckled, thinking that phrase sounded rather outdated.

He paused, walking alongside her and enjoying the feel of the sand between his toes. "I liked to take walks along railroad tracks...party...break laws." He sighed, blissfully. "I was quite a tyrant in my younger years."

She smiled, "Well, it sounds like you had a lot of fun. No regrets, right?"

Amais walked into the water and stood there for a little while, loving the feeling of the waves going back and forth.

"Did you ever think that waves were like people?"

"Somewhat." Kasimir followed her in, wincing pathetically at how cold it was. "Waves start out strong and then crash, and then they slowly die. Just like people."

Amais laughed a bit, "That's a nice way to think about it. I think of the way it ebbs and flows feeling the distance between...and does the same for eternity."

She turned and walked through the water back to the original path, "I'm weird, aren't I?"

"I'm so positive about humanity, aren't I?" Kasimir retorted, grin wide as he followed her. "Everyone is weird. Because what is normal...but an opinion?"

Amais shrugged as she kicked up some water while she walked, "Nothing is wrong with your view of humanity. No one's perfect...and the world isn't that bright."

"True. Reika always told me that weird is normal." The pianist tried to twirl but lost her balance and fell back in the water.

She laid there for a few seconds as the water didn't come up to face level, "Just my luck, huh?"

"True enough. It's only fitting that I prefer night over day, then..." Kasimir chuckled.

He blinked when she fell and reached down to help her up, smiling. "You didn't hurt yourself, did you?"

"Thanks." Amais smiled as he helped her up and she swiped off some sand off of her uniform, "I'm fine. I tend to fall over now and then."

"As we all do," Kasimir agreed. "The Earth is spinning, whether we like it or not. Sometimes we just fall short, and then fall...hard."

Nodding, she giggled as she began walking, "Well, as long as we stand up again..."

Kasimir chuckled, then nodded in agreement. "I concur. As long as we stand up...everything should be fine." He yawned a bit, hoping everyone was having a good time.

Amais stopped in her tracks and turned to look back where they came. In the distance she could see Amaya dragging Matt into the water and Reika splashing the unwilling boy. Amais imagined it was his wake-up call. It worked at least as he tried to splash Reika back...until he tripped.

She turned around and started walking again, "I can't remember what it was like to be lonely..."

"Probably a good thing..." Kasimir added, as he walked along beside her. "Loneliness...it is good in short bursts, when you're feeling overwhelmed by people...but it is never good all the time."

"That's true." Amais nodded and saw that the area wasn't too far from where they were. She began to run, splashing in the water as she did so.

Kasimir jogged along with her, a content smile on his face. He didn't seem to find this whole scene the least bit inappropriate. Teachers weren't supposed to befriend their students, but then again, Kasimir wasn't exactly your average, everyday teacher, either.

Amais slowed down once they reached the area and she walked away from the water and plopped down on the sand. The area was quiet and comforting. The light that reflected off the water calmed her down as did the sound of the waves.

She didn't think much on what people would think on the scene of a girl with her teacher. In fact, she didn't really care at the moment. She felt like she could forget all her troubles here.

Kasimir sat down next to her, surrendering his clothing to the sand. He could wash everything later, after all. He also seemed to feel at peace.

Her emerald orbs stared out into the water. Amais didn't really know what to say except enjoy the scene as long as she could. The waves reminded her of music.

"What got you into music?" She asked suddenly.

"Hm...well..." Kasimir paused to yawn and stretch his arms out a bit, feeling an elbow pop. "I decided to take lessons at a young age because I wanted to have a special talent. I wanted my parents to praise me, or something along those lines. I became attached to music...and they never, ever praised me. So I got something out of it, at least...I adore music."
