All of my family does. (:
My Mom likes to make it seem like she doesn't care about our pets, but it's so obvious that she does. <3
And my kitty is my baby. :'D
I couldn't imagine having it any other way, or being able to think of her as less than what I am myself.

EDIT: And by that, I do not mean I'm a baby. D:
I mean, I am in the sense that I'm still a kid, but.. xD
You get the point. lololol

I don't treat my cat as if it were a child. I love her a lot but I would not put her on par with a human child. She's smart and sweet and very cute, but I wouldn't put her needs over mine or over that of a child's.

Our family treats all animals as if they are actual members of the family... including our goats XD I get a little obsessive over my Betta fish... But I don't treat him like a child. I'm just freaked out that he'll get ick and die like my last one T.T

I can't have children so I do treat my dog and my five kitties along with my reptiles like my children. I try not to get that attached to my "foster kids" but I do a lot of the times. I do a lot of rescue work so I end up fostering a lot of animals. They are all very spoiled and I don't get how anyone could mistreat them.

I have a little mix breed dog I call her my baby but. I do not think of her as a child besides I tell her about her brith mom at times. so she dose not forgot that she has a dog mama a my self as her human mama. Pippi is spoiled but is huge sweet heart I love her to death. she's 5 years old right now, but she and are other dogs are part of are family life.

are oldest dog we had to put her down last year she had cancer. my mom, step dad and my self cried are heart's. I miss so her so much that I cried my self to sleep last summer for 3 in half months to sleep each night. Belle was huge part of my fmaily's live she was sort fo like a mommy in her own way. to any little puppy's we had gotten over the years. sorry for going off topic there everyone.

I don't have my own pet, though I always treat my dad's dog like he is a little person. My dad says I am too soft and gets seriously freaked if he wanders in and I am having a conversation with the dog. But I do know what your on about :P

Yes! Everytime I see a cat or kitten my mother instincts kick in. This doesn't happen to me with human babies though. I don't think I ever want to have children. I am much happier taking care of cats. When I hold a kitten and it cries in my arms I feel like it is my child and I have to protect him or her from the world. I don't feel this way with human babies. They are so ugly and look like wrinkly old men. I have a cat named Kally and she is pretty much my daughter. My boyfriend and I are moving into a new apartment in two weeks and I really want to get a kitten to take care of. My cat's Kally and Melody live at my parent's house and they like to go outside so they wouldn't enjoy moving in with us.

I consider my cat, who I have had since I was four or five, to be my child. She's my precious kitty, and I treat her like she's a five-year old child. o__o

I feel like I'm babysitting misbehaving kids when dealing with my cats. XDD But really, they are cats, they're not people - they KNOW they're BETTER than people but they humour us because they own us and know we have the food. They train us in secret. ;)
