Riker couldnt stop thinking about Kitami on his way back home, and had to get soaking wet on purpose so he would have a reason for being late. When he got to his house, he took off his soaking wet jacket and shirt, and kept on his wet jeans. He turned on his small portable TV and turned it to channel 144. He was in the slayer's society so he had technology not available to others. He tuned his cassett player to the same station and began to talk to the TV. "Sir, this is slayer number 100121 reporting." He said. From the static, his leutenant was audible and his image was clear on the TV. His matted down hair looked as grey as ever, and his face was in its usual scowl. "So...report then." He said. Riker nodded obiediently and began his story about Kitami and his day. When he finished, the leutenant's face was bright red. "KILL HER" He said through gritted teeth. Riker's mouth hung open. "But did you not hear me sir?, she speaks of vampires who are not evil!" "LUDACRIS!" he shouted, "Kill the vampire or we will!" He shouted again. Riker cringed back, but nodded like the obedient dog he was. "Yes, sir." He replied robotically. As soon as the picture on the screen went blank, Riker moved to the TV and turned it off. Then he slid down into his bed, and buried his head in the pillow. No. I will not kill her. Not in a million years.

Kitami couldn't stop thinking of Riker as soon she had fallen asleep though she wondered what time Riker would come over.i should make him dinner when he comes over....ooo that sounds good i'll ask what kind of food he likes i cannot wait!i look foward to tomarrow so much... Kitami thought as she slept though she had forgotten to lock her door as she hoped no mad man or criminal would break in.

Riker shook himself awake and found the sun to be up. He sighed and made a noise of disgust, then shook his head and wiped the sleep from his eyes. He put his loose black shirt on and washed his hair, then walked out the door, finding it to only rain in sprinkles. He still didnt smile however. His slayers gear was right inside the door, but Riker refused to give even a thought of bringing them to Kitami's house. He made his was to her apartment and knocked on the door. After awile of waiting, he became worried that the slayers had gotten to her, so he tried to open the door and found it unlocked. He went straight into her room and sighed a breath of relief when he saw her there breathing steadily, no harm done. He smiled at her sleeping self and sat down on the floor next to where she was sleeping, waiting for her to wake up.

Kitami began to wake up as she saw Riker there she thought she was still dreaming as when she poked Riker's face she notice the dream wasn't going away."your real aren't you!?"Kitami said in a shocked voice."i thought i was dreaming you were here"Kitami said with a nervous laugh

Riker smiled. "Sorry, the door was open, so I came on in..." He didnt want to tell her about the slayers coming, not just yet. He wanted to enjoy a bit of time with her, then he planned on leaving. leaving with her and exposing good vampires, so that the slayers were aware. This vampire...Kitami...She was going to change the slayers community forever.

"i had a feeling i forgot to do something last night"She said with a laugh as she smiled up at him."so how are you doing today?"Kitami asked as she sat up then she kissed Riker on his lips a bit quickly

Riker smiled at her when she kissed him and kissed her back just as quickly before sitting up on the bed with her and replying. "I'm okay. How did you sleep?" He asked. "Are you hungry? I could make something for you..." He trailed off and gave a short chuckle. "Oh. Vampire. Sorry." He said shortly.

"i slept good...better than ever actually"Kitami said as she looked extremely happy today "i still eat you know my appetite hasn't changed since i was a vampire...some vampires eat and some don't im the kind that does eat normal food"Kitami said as she smiled at him."hm what to eat?"Kitami said tilting her head a bit as she smiled at Riker.

Riker smiled and reached for her hand. "Lets go make something then." He smiled, pulling her up and tugging her out of bed. "What do you have to eat here?" He asked.

"i have a lot of things i have eggs a variety of different meat,fish...thats all i can name so far since im still half asleep"Kitami said with a bit of a laugh as she held onto Riker's hand

Riker smiled sadly at her and nodded. "Okay, we'll see what you have to eat then." He said, then kissed the top of her head and led them out of the room and into the kitchen, finding it with his sense of smell. He sat her down on a chair and kissed her hand. "Let me make breakfast for you." He grinned. "What do you want?"

Kitami smiled."anything you make is fine with me"Kitami said with another smile as she wondered what he would make her

Riker smiled. "Okay, Riker-surprise then." He said, then turned into the kitchen more and raided her cubboards. He found some bread and a toaster, a atch of eggs, and a bit of bacon. He smiled as he toasted two peices of bread, cooked two eggs, and pulled out four strips of bacon to cook. When he was done, and had cleaned up his mess, he set a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast in front of her, the left, and came back with a glass of milk. "Eat up." He smiled, "You will need your energy today."

we must be doing something fun Kitami thought as she begun eating."its delicious thank you"Kitami said as she ate more of her breakfast as it was better than what she could make

Riker smiled and nodded, staying until she was done eating. Then, he took her plate and washed it in the sink, then put it back where he had found it. This place is covered with her vampire scent... he noticed as he was walking back to her. "Hey, would you like to come back to my place for a bit?" He asked. It is much safer there for her. I must protect her."Its not too far from here if you wouldn't mind coming?"

"sounds nice i don't mind comming at all and plus i want to see what its like there"Kitami said as she stood up and smiled

Riker nodded at her. "Okay then, lets get going." He pulled her out of her seat, and handed his jacket to her. "Please wear it." He smiled, thinking that they would be untracable if her vampire scent was covered with the scent of vampire slayer.

"okay."Kitami said as she smiled at him and held onto his hand tightly as she didn't want to let go of his hand ever."im ready when you are"She said as she lightly kissed Riker's cheek

Riker sighed and smiled thankfully. He pulled her towards the door, not bothering to lock it behind him for her sake, just because it was pointless if the slayers got there fast enough. He was out of the building when he caught the scent of another slayer. He cursed loudly in his head and was almost discovered when the slayer turned towards their direction, fortunatly, Riker pulled Kitami into an alley before he could notice them. The slayers are here. There is no more time. Damnit! He looked at Kitami, and frowned. "Sorry about that."

"its alright."Kitami said smiling a bit."is someone after you...or maybe me?"Kitami asked frowning a bit as she looked at Riker. if someone is after me why is Riker protecting me?

Riker was dumbstruck. "Right on the dot." He sighed, then peeked his head around the corner to see if the slayer was still there. "That's my Kitami, cute and smart." He grinned, grabbing for her hand and pulling her down the alley instead of taking the shorter way and laying her scent all over the place. As he walked he started to explain things to her. "My superior reacted...negativly...when i told him that you claimed to be innocent and...you know, non-evil...and he ordered me to kill you, saying that if i didnt do it, he would sent others to do it for me." He made a sound of disgust and shook his head, stopping walking and looking Kitami directly in the eyes. "I know now that what they speak is not the truth and I would never hurt you." He promised.

Kitami smiled at Riker when he said that what they said was not the truth."thank you for what your doing for me...i've never been protected or treated nicely in my life from someone i like"Kitami admitted as she blushed

Riker smiled back at her and pulled her close, kissing the top of her head, then looking down at her. "There's a first time for everything, right?" He grinned, then bent down with his back facing her. "Hop on, we'll get there faster."

Kitami smiled and nodded."okay hopefully im not too heavy"She said with a laugh as she got onto his back and wrapped her arms around his neck holding him tight so she wouldn't fall.

Riker laughed. "I will not even give that comment the light of day." He began with a slow jog, then as his speed picked up, he began running. He made sure every now and then that Kitami wasn't falling off, and wasn't uncomforatable. When he had ran around the city for awhile to spread out her scent and confuse the slayers, he went back to his house and stopped, setting Kitami down gently. "Welp...home sweet home." He sighed, knowing it couldnt be classified as a "home". The windows were practically plastic, the door was only half on and crooked on the half that it was on, and the insulation could almost be classified under "cardboard", but it fit Riker perfectly, and thats the way he liked it.
