Ketchup tastes better with more food items than mustard. Mustard just tastes too bitter for me. Well, I'm not sure if bitter is the right word, but you get what I'm saying.

Both! I like them both.. I usually put onions, mustard, ketchup, cheese, and relish if im not lazy lol =3

I use mustard powder in my pork rub, but it doesn't taste anything like mustard once it's mixed with everything else ;P

And I think they mean "stick your finger in it and lick it before you dump it all over something you're about to eat."

However, my fave rendition of a hot dog is mustard and chili. Just how I am. I used to eat it with mayo and pickle relish when I was ity bity! =laughs= But no longer. I also, occasionally, just get a hankering for a nice hot dog all the way... which, around here, consists of mustard, ketchup, chili and slaw. Usually red slaw (vinegar BBQ slaw as it were) considering my locale. ^_~

On hotdogs, I like them both! And sweet relish, and sometimes onions, if I'm in the mood. If I'm in a hurry and concerned about stains, though, I won't use mustard. Tomato stains are easy, but mustard?

If it's a bratwurst, then mustard and sauerkraut all the way, though. Ketchup doesn't belong on bratwurst!

I prefer ketchup, onions and cheese on mine.

I used to hate mustard! But oddly I've gotten over it. Now it's just a matter of what I prefer in that moment that goes on m y hotdog.
I try not to put too many things though. I don't like them overloaded.
When I went to Japan and got a vending machine hotdog, it had mustard seeds and ketchup. Wasn't too bad, but it had a kick to it. :P

I don't think you can have one without the other. D: It doesn't taste right alone with just the hotdog and bun for company. ;_; The ketchup counter-balances the tangy flavor of the mustard.

They're pretty good together, you know. And hotdogs are good with onions and relish, too. To me, the best part of the hotdog is the hotdog, but ketchup and mustard really, reaaaally help. ：P
But on the whole, ketchup goes with more stuff. I love mustard, especially on sandwiches, but ketchup seems to be more popular.

I love both on my hotdog.. It's not a hotdog without both. D<

I haaaate mustard. Blegh.

Though, I usually just put cheese or nothing on my hotdog. If I'm in the mood I'll put on some ketchup... but generally I just eat it plain 8D

I know I have already stated that mustard is better on a hotdog.. But I also like relish on there too sometimes. And with cheese.. Mmmmm.... :XD

I like ketchup are mustard on my hot dogs at times. but slice pickles taste really good on a hot dog's I'm not a fan relish.
