OooOooo..a thread entirely dedicated to my purpose in life. XD So much I'm supposed to be doing. Like cleaning...and even though my head's practically bursting with some drawing ideas, I just can't help but procrastinate in that, either. Seriously. I'm like...a World Class Procrastinator. I know of few people who can write 2 essays for the same class, 5&11 pages, and get an A. I totally wanted to die after that, too. >.<

I'm so glad I don't have school anymore and won't need to worry about homework. XD Until I go to art college...

I'm procrastinating on working on my art portfolio though! T-T I've had no inspiration lately though...

Oh if I was in school right now I'd be putting off homework c:
But since it's summer, and for the first time in six years I have no summer homework I have nothing to put off. Yay for graduating high school and going on to college, well if I took summer classes I'd have homework, but psh who wants to take summer classes? Well I'm putting off finding a job, but psh that's not important.

Ya, same. Luckily, I'm somewhat decent about my art homework. My past semester's art class was crazy...a new project every week. So there wasn't even any time to procrastinate. I got reallly into it towards the end, though. =] Hopefully art school will go well and I'll have so much fun working that I don't need to procrastinate.

...although..it looks like they're not willing to let me transfer my art history class. *sadface*

HappyStarr - I've done the whole essay thing, too. xD I once did a whole semester worth of essays in one night and got a high grade on them. I was pretty dead after that as well.

Fox - Best of luck with your portfolio and getting inspiration again! ^_^

Kayxx - *is doing the same thing*

Dead Angel - The summer after high school is always a nice one, it seems. The only thing I can think of that will feel better than that (I think) is the summer after college. No more homework! <3

Nah, it wasn't telemarketing, but that's what everyone assumes when they pick up the phone, even though you say "Hello, I'm _______ calling for the State Department of Health." It was actually a job where different states would contract the company I was working for to have us call the residents of whatever state and ask them to take the survey. The survey is usually something about health or a customer satisfaction thing. The health ones are actually really important since whatever state contracted us to do the survey is going to use the resulting data to decide where to place state funding and what health programs need to be started/ended.

It was much better than trying to sell things, but people don't let you even get two words in before yelling at you and hanging up. I got a lot of "I'm on the do not call list! Are you stupid, or do you just not understand that means DON'T call me?!" ......and if they gave me two seconds, I could explain that the computer is just dialing random numbers, which means we don't have a list and we have no way of knowing where the number goes to.....I called about 50 different fax machines.....

Not yet. T_T Both me and my fiancée are jobless right now.

I'm hoping to be able to find a retail job. That seems pretty interesting and easy to me. A couple stores around here seem like they would be really fun to work at, so I'm filling out as many apps as I can find.

How about you? Do you have a job?

I currently have 2 jobs and work Monday to Saturday.
My first job I've been at for about 3 years now. It's at a family owned deli and I'm one of their best sammich makers and dish washers. XD It's like the easiest, most chill job ever.
My second job I've only worked at for a week total. I work with my mom in an office for an oil and gas company. I'm just doing some basic filing-type jobs right now, but the big boss (boss of my boss) is wanting me to help him with a project soon.
I would like to work at a clothing store and get discounts on clothing because I like clothes and shopping, but my hands are already full. XD I'm very lucky to have two jobs that I got without interviews or resumes. S:

I'm 17 and I'm saving up for art college next year and I don't know how much my parents can help me. I'll be making over $1000 a month so I'll probably be able to come up with enough by next year's September as I already have over $3000 in my bank account. >_<

That's pretty cool, Fox. ^_^ I used to work with my mom doing filing too. I'd actually love to have a job like that again. It's pretty easy and it actually keeps me entertained. *is weird like that* xD

Clothing is one of the retail jobs I'm hoping to get. I've recently decided that I like a different style of clothes than what I currently own and I do that quite often. Working in a clothing store and getting discounts would help me out with that. ^_^

Best of luck with art college! I would love to be able to save up and pay off college without loans, but paying rent, car payments, and all that crap takes up everything currently. *sigh* I have like....$5 in the bank.

Like I said, I hope you get a new job you actually like.

When I'm off to college my parents are letting me stay home for free. All I need to do is take a train through downtown straight to my college, so it will take about 30 minutes to get there which isn't bad AT ALL. So I won't need to pay bills or anything until I'm done college, which will be in about 5 years. P:

Me and my parents don't get a long so well half the time. They don't really approve of my likes or my fiancée, so they kicked me out. I've had to pay bills living with them, other than rent, since my senior year of high school, so living away from them isn't too different. We're currently living with my fiancée's family, and I'm pretty happy here. ^_^

It's nice that you get to live bill free until you're out of college! It'll be so nice for you to be able to get out of college and not have 30k or so of debt after graduation. ^_^

I remember you saying to do design work....would you mind sharing some of your designs? My fiancée's also into graphic design and art.
