Tzal, whom had just fallen asleep, answered the call almost immediately. ~It's probably because it's irreversible, and he doesn't like that. Check around for a possible Cupid, please. I can't sense them for the life of me...I've always thought that meant I was rather cold.~

Lawrence didn't lift his head. "He mindlessly attacked my best friend, with words, and is jealous of him for no reason. So, in regard to your questions...both." He didn't feel like running away. He just felt like sitting there and doing nothing more...

~I just wanted to make sure you were here before trying the spell.~ his kissed him. opening his eyes William found that he had sunk to the bottom of the pool without realizing it. ~well that’s odd.~ standing back up he took in a deep breath of air. ~now to start~

“maybe he felt threatened by your best friend?”sitting down a crossed from him he head out a bag of candy. “you want a jelly baby?” he pulled on out of the bag and popped it in his mouth.

~Good.~ Tzal kissed him back. He felt much better now that he was separate from his body--he had been tired.

"I don't know...no, thank you..." Lawrence looked like he felt miserable.

Pulling up the shields William hugged tzal. ~well it looks like a shield dose not cut you off from me.~ he calmed his mind to ready the spell. ~so are we only looking of a cupid in the school or should we try outside of the school as well?~

“ok suit yourself.” He popped another one in his mouth. “name is Vinny Knight by the way, and you should not be sitting here all alone.”

~Try students only, first. That includes the ones in the school and the ones that are out in the city, currently.~ Tzal seemed happy about the fact that they would always be bound, no matter if they put shields up or not.

"Lawrence Marleigh...and it's better than being out there..." Lawrence couldn't stand drama. When there was drama between friends or people he knew, or even people he didn't know, he removed himself from the situation completely until it was resolved.

~ok~ mentally he pulled Tzal’s arms around him as he started the spell. It was a simple spell that needed water to work. With the whole pool there it was no problem to do. Slowly he spoke the words completing each gesture that the spell called for. As it came nearer the end a knife appeared and he cut his hand. The blood seeped out as he lay his hand on the top of the water. The blood not acting like blood usually did slowly formed a puddle in the water. A bright red puddle that grew black then faces appeared in it flashing from one to the next quickly.

“hay Lawrence,” he looked back out at the rest of the mall. “yah have to agree with you on that. To many people to many needs and wants flying around.” Turning back he raised an eyebrow. “so you think your friends will make up?”

Tzal happily cuddled with him, feeling the spell as it was cast and monitoring it. He was eager to try and find a cupid. If having a love interest would keep Angelo out of their room while they were naked, then it was a wonderful thing.

Lawrence shrugged halfheartedly. He sure hoped so...

The faces seem to start to flash by even faster. ~looks like it is not finding what we want. I had hoped that someone would have the gift.~

“you don’t talk much do you?” Vinny looked back out over the mall.

~Perhaps you should check non-students, as well?~ Tzal was almost desperate.

"Not really, I guess..." Then again, Lawrence was miserable at the moment.

As William readied to change the parameters the pictures stopped. In the middle of it was Adam who seemed to be happily talking to someone that they could not see, and then the image changed to Vinny but seemed uncertain about them. After jumping between the two of them for a few moments it stopped on Vinny again. ~looks like we have our cupid.~

“you think they are always going to be against each other? I don’t see why your lover would do that too you.” He looked off to the side as if he heard some one. “so why don’t you talk that much?”

~All right...it seems like he is one of the elder students here. Perhaps we should inform him of the plan? If he is a cupid, he is sure to have Angelo as a teacher, or had him in the past.~ Tzal was sure that any student of Angelo's would gleefully agree to this. The man was a bit too stringent and stressed out, and he was even worse when he had cuddling couples in his class.

Lawrence kept his head down. "I don't know...I hope not..." He paused. "I'm not really that social, I guess..."

~that is Venny he and his twin, the other one we saw, are in the college classes. But Adam had no powers, why would it have been attracted to him first?~ William stepped back the blood slowly fading into the water.

“come on cheer up. Everything will be better, don’t worry.” Again he offered the jelly babies. “he is meant to be with you, I know it. You two are perfect for each other once you get past the misunderstandings.”

~He might have some power if it was attracted to him first. Perhaps he is like Lawrence, and his powers are locked away?~ Tzal shrugged it off. ~Do you think he would agree to this? It sounds like a fun idea, I think...~

"I'm not hungry...and thanks..." Lawrence had finally lifted his head--he'd been crying. He pulled his glasses off to clean them.

~I remember it was an odd thing. You many not have heard you spent most of your time in the library at the time. When Angelo found Vinny power Adam got mad. Angelo said that he had no gifts that he could see. And the test only confirmed it. He threatened to kill Angelo if he did not give him gifts.~ it had been the talk of the school that year. The dean had left school for good right after that.

“you don’t have to be hungry to enjoy jelly babies. Their a snack, a candy no more.” He held out a handkerchief to Lawrence. “you might want to… you know.” He waved it at Lawrence’s face.

~Ah...~ Tzal had heard of it, but he'd never known names. ~Perhaps it's hidden, then...why else would that spell be attracted to him? It's the only thing that makes sense.~

Lawrence took the handkerchief but once again shied away from the candy. He didn't like candy all that much. "Thanks..." He wiped at his tears, feeling quite neglected.

~maybe it is because they are just twins~ wrapping himself in a large towel he walked back into the bed room. Looking down at the sleeping form of Tzal he smiled. ~I am so lucky to have gotten you love. No one will take you from me.~ reaching out he ran his hand through Tzal’s hair. ~I really like your wings you know that?~

Putting the bag away in his shirt Adam smiled. “well if you would like I don’t mind trying to help your lover and your friend get along. Would you like to go find them?”

~Maybe.~ In his sleep, Tzal concentrated, and his wings reappeared behind him, taking the subtle hint William had given him. He was still dead asleep.

Lawrence fidgeted. "I...I decided I'm not going to go near either of them until they make up on their own..." He just didn't want to be near the drama until it was resolved.

Sitting down next to Tzal he ran his fingers along the wings. ~you know you never did tell me If you can actually use these to fly.~ he smiled letting his fingers sink into the feathers. ~you so soft so perfect.~

“then should I take you back to the school? It is not best to be here alone you know.” Looking around again he scrunched his face up in consintrasion.

~I can use them to fly, but I don't do so often. Someone flying through the air is not socially acceptable, you know--I would have local police and school officials reprimanding me constantly.~ Tzal shifted a bit in his sleep, reacting to the touch.

Lawrence felt terrible, still, and he just wanted to be away from this place--away from the site of the drama. He wiped at his eyes. "Okay..."

~maybe some time we will have go to out flying at night. I used to do it all the time when you fell asleep.~ leaning down he nuzzled into Tzal’s feathers. ~are you glade that we are together forever now?~

“come on then.” Offering Lawrence a hand up he pulled it back after.

“so you two are together?” adam was asking josh, who was sipping down the milk shake that Adam had bought him.
“yah, I guess so.” He looked around at all the other students who were talking and laughing. There were students here with the boys that were from the girls school down the road. “its not like I have had a boyfriend before.” He flinched as Adam reached out to clean a spot from his face.
“well I would think that you would want to be with him and talk to him.”

~Yes. Very. And that sounds like a good idea...it has to be a quiet, deserted night...~ Tzal seemed elated by the idea. He hadn't used his wings recently, and he didn't want the muscles in them to lose their power and go flabby...

Lawrence was still sniffling, but he stood up and waited, rubbing at his eyes again.

~Tzal I know! I have done it a few times, well not like you do but I have flown.~ pulling his legs up William lay down in front of Tzal and pulled him close. ~we can go looking for vinny when he gets back here to talk to him. for now you and I need a bit of rest.~ without thinking about it William nuzzled in under Tzal’s chin to his neck. His breath was slow and cool on his neck.

Leading Lawrence back through the mall avoiding large crowds the passed by the shop where Josh was.

Josh sighed as Adam cleaned the spot from his face, his other hand catching Josh’s and holding it. “yah I kind of would like to be there with Lawrence but he seemed so mad, and I had tried to make amend to his friend but he was just an ass.”
“oh I know, I saw what happened there in the hall.”

Tzal's slumbering body once again reacted to the touch. ~Yes...rest sounds good...~ His mental voice was getting weaker--he just wanted to relax.

Lawrence wanted to go in and talk to him, but he was afraid more drama would crop up. The pause in his walking was noticeable.

Allowing his bodie to relax William fell asleep in Tzal’s arms that he had wrapped around him. ~sleep well my lovely bird man.~

Stopping Vinny looked over at what had caught Lawrence’s eye. “Shall we go in and talk? That’s just Adam my brother.”

~Pfft, bird-man...have a nice rest, as well.~ Tzal then drifted off, his mind also going into a state of relaxation.

Lawrence played with his fingers. "...I guess...I'm just afraid there will be more drama..."
