This is something that has been on my mind for the past few days. a hypothetical question. Lets say that you find out that werewolves are real. Not the twilight werewolves, but the ones from underworld and other movies. And you are given the option to become one. Would you do it or not?

No, the thought has never really appealed. I would prefer something like a mermaid or a fairy, at least you could do something cool like fly or breathe underwater...

I am entertained by werewolves, I suppose I might consider becoming one if it were an option, just to be something different. There doesn't seem to be much of a benefit to becoming a werewolf, though, except that it is mildly interesting.

I don't really like the idea of becoming an aggressive animal who's actions I couldn't control for 3 days in the month. <___<;;

As far as becoming an old skool ghoul, I'd rather be a robot or a dinosaur or Godzilla. :3

Isn't that pretty much what happens to females? =coughcough= Okay, some, not all. ^_~

And no, I wouldn't want to change who I am. To take on great power you'd have to give up something and I rather like who and what I am.

I dont think I would. But it's impressive that I'm getting the option at all, and that would make me think that they weren't mindless. That, in turn, would make me think that it'd be a nice escape every now and again. Though... I'm a vegetarian, so maybe not.

That's not usually the answer I think of Bebe, but now that you mention it, that's downright terrifying, so I agree.

That all really depends...what are my real options? Become a werewolf or stay human? Become a werewolf or be eaten? Assuming I would be out of control and possibly hurt others though, I'd rather be killed I think. I would hate to hurt an innocent person in such a vicious way. If I did have full control, I would consider it.

Werewolf, no. If people see you when you're changed, they will hunt you.

Vampire, no. No contact with sun, the need to suck the blood of unsuspection beautiful girls...ok MAYBE. But again, people will hunt you if they find out.

Being a regular human, but immortal. YES! You can change identities, jobs, become the wealthiest man/woman alive. Heck, you could even become a man or woman if you so decide.

I read an interesting science fiction book about immortal people living in our normal world Drac. It was basically all about what you just said, but also a heavy play on how fucked up they were psychologically.

I think werewolves are kinda cool in a sense, but I wouldn't want to be one.
Now a vampire...most definitely. :P

This is a cool question. I have no idea what I would answer.
It is tempting...

I still say there's no reason to become a vampire. I stand by my Buffy inspired belief that becoming a vampire would make you lose your soul.

If I were to choose between the two, though, being a vampire just seems more exciting than getting all hairy and rabid at the full moon. :(

edit: I realize that this isn't even really what the original poster was asking. I was going more off of what others had said. ^^;

Absolutely not. For one, it's going into a whole new world -- new tactics, new body, new power. It's something most people aren't trained to handle, and never will be trained to handle. Control is something people need to learn on their own. If you were absolutely starving to the point of your stomach actually hurting, and somebody set a six course meal down in front of you, cooked to perfection, and told you not to eat any of it, but there would be no punishment if you did, would you be able to control yourself? No. That's what I imagine being a werewolf would be like.

Then again, if everyone else was becoming a werewolf left and right, many people would be pressured into doing it and not only that, but it would become an issue of protection for the normal people.

Demo, that's a good point, but I'd say werewolf before vampire, because at least I could still be myself sometimes. I figure being a vampire would make me completely evil permanently, and I could lock myself up on full moons if I was a werewolf, like Seth Green, couldn't I?

Who ever said all vampires were evil? It's just another race doing what they must to survive, in my eyes.

I think being a human is tough enough. No need to complicate it by putting more restrictions on yourself. You'd have to set aside that part of the month when you would be going through your changes or whatever. Same with vampires, I can't imagine drinking animal blood being very tasty or fulfilling for too long. We need variety.
