i have a 'journal'... for lists and stuff xD

I don't like typing journals very much. It doesn't feel very authentic : (

remember when live journal was everyone's most favorite thing on earth. I hated it so much >.>

I never got one of those. I browsed it all the time to get icons that people had made because I was an icon collector. I had something like 150k icons saved to my computer at one point, and then realized I was dumb for collecting them all and not using them so I deleted them xD

haha that is kind of a strange hobby xD

I've just tried keeping so many paper journals, and I've ended up throwing them away. I don't think I like the content of my mind if it's just directed at me.
With typing I end up making it for an audience, so I write more about my daily actions rather than delving too much into my emotions [which makes me a bit sick, hence the death of my paper journals xD].

I don't really use my diary to actually write anything to anyone. I don't start off with dear diary or anything. Its more of a way to release my thoughts in private because I can't really tell people about them out of fear of what they might think. I have an cardboard box full of old journals somewhere. Its not a large box, but its there xD I think it would be fun to look back at them later in life and see how much of a tortured soul I really was when I was in high school xD

Oh man, I think I did the world a favor by not documenting my thoughts as a teenager... that would have been a horror the would was not ready for >.>

Haha. I know that I was kind of a whiner. There was probably a ton of "why does no one like me?!?!" over stuff that was probably as simple as no one had a pencil I could borrow or something haha! I'd like to think that I got more rational as I got older.

I have a diary. I haven't updated it in ages though because to me my last entry was pretty tragic, so I decided if I ignored my diary I can pretend it never happend. Sadly I failed :lol:

xD Aha, I think the 'me needing an audience' to write started when I was a teenager.
I started journaling as a therapy aid and I had to show it to my therapist, and she'd write feedback in it.
So, journaling stuck with me, but losing the 'audience' made my journal.. more of a torture device for me, so I picked up online journaling and regained an audience.
The feedback helps me out, especially if I am in need of support and guidance.

Looking back on teen entries scare me. I feel like a whole other entity.

Seriously, you wouldn't be a teenager if you didn't have drama. That's just expected.

Looking in my diary just now it is actually just a long rant about things, with the occasional happy thing jotted in for good measure :lol:

My journals are kind of the same. Though a lot of it is just my thinking put on paper. Lots of random musings and thoughts.

Anyways, I'm going to go take a shower and read for a bit now that my power hour is over. I'll be back on later!~

I never keep my diaries. I should probably start, so when I am a little old lady of 100 I can show my grandkids and they can all laugh at the olden day :P
