Yeah, for every 12 gears/flowers/spanners you donate you get a set of items for which ever item you donate. So say you donate 12 flowers you get a set of shovels :)

Yeah, I love all the pixels here. I saw someone with a pirate avatar and I decided I wanted to try and make one, so what better item than the Pirate's Booty? Though I need to save about 15K to take inflation into account.

But I should have enough by next week sometime, what with maxing out games and event posting :)
