I recon they should put a camera in that capsule so we can watch them, a bit like Big Brother only longer and in Russian and probibly more crazy things because they've got nothing else better to do.

well, that would definitely not be a good environment for a rumor mill or an STD ... do they at least get TV or computers or something? I'd need a LARGE supply of books ...

You should be able to place bets on the capsule people like how long before they start to seriously think about eating one of the other people.

If I had to eat ration food for 16 days I'd probably go mental never mind months.

I don't know if they've got any form of entertainment in there. They might have a letter box so they can get the newspaper.

But if they get any entertainment in the capsule it won't be very realistic for if they go into space. Unless you can get internet on Mars. XD

@ HIM : I would expect if it's for the space program they would have little radio sets like they would in space. Newspapers would break the illusion of their isolation, give them something to dream about.
But radios don't work like that.

They'll have space to look at when they're on their way to mars.

I would never want to go into space. Not unless they have really cool spaceships like in Star Wars, Star Trek, Star Ocean and such. (Why do they put the word "star" in front of everything to make it sci-fi? xD) Otherwise I think I'd be bored. D:

dude, those would have to be some pretty big books! and I'm sure they are allowed a certain weight allotment of personal items to bring.
