Weight reduction is a big issue on a space flight, like in a young woman's life.... *sighs*
But not that big. Most books probably weigh less than half a kiligram. The solid fuel boosters on the space shuttle missions provide over ten million newtons of thrust. I think you might have to take a whole library to make a significant difference.
Just like everything in life, books on space missions are meaningless.

books are never meaningless ... they all have SOME value ... even if that value is to stuff between layers of material to make it look poofy ... I must say though, I'm gonna need to stop reading Allucard's posts ... they are really dragging me down.

While I was taking the ice cream out of the freezer I decided to move back into the front room since it's still nice and light in here.

My despair smiles.
I don't know if that means I'm happier or not.

Also, for the record, books, meaningless as they are, bring a small tinge of happiness to the bleakness of my life, like a lover's touch dimly remembered across the ages.
