Being self-centered is different. Its like... all you can talk about is yourself, regardless of whether its positive or negative. And as humans, its actually essential for survival to think about oneself every once in awhile.

I have gone trough my personal little hell and I have not left it yet. Just because I smile sometimes, doesn't mean i have forgotten what is behind me and in front of me. Just because I smile, it doesn't mean I don't know many are still going trough their hells. often bigger than mine. But my weeping won't change that or help them. I can only help with speaking, if one chooses to trust me.

Well, of course! I'm not you, and you're not me. And two people can't be the same person, no matter how similar their lives have been. Trust me, I've met people who are self-centered. I'm far from that, though anthropologically you might notice that the people who survive the longest have a healthy dose of narcissism.

Its been awhile since I took the class, but I found it so interesting that I kept the text books. We did a whole section on asexual, non-sexual, bi-gender, and trans-sexuals that was so fascinating. If my concentration weren't in art, I probably would have been an ANTH major. Or PSYCH, but the two go hand-in-hand. =D

As long as you don't outrightly insult me or betray me (but you would have to be very close to that), I have grown past the point of getting hurt by someone I am talking with, especially if they just don't agree with me

@ Sadrain: I feel relief I didn't remember the intensity of. Perhaps I could be assuaged of all my guilt.
