A lot of our clients were very sweet. Healthcare isn't something that I would seek out as a career ever again, but I'm glad that I had the experience at least once.

Part of the reason I didn't like it was because I was getting paid less than minimum wage and on-call 24/7. That was... not my cup of tea.

It's a crime. Literally a crime to be paid less than minimum wage. Also, yes, a very important job, that should be compensated accordingly.
I've thought about training to become an EMT. That might be an enjoyable distraction from the doom I live every day.

It was paid volunteering, and their funding was all by donation. After all the repairs and necessities were taken care of, the rest of it went to the employees.

It was the only job in town that didn't turn me down. People weren't too keen on my parents being reporters.

I'd like to point out how difficult it is to remain depressing with a cat playing with my legs and acting like Gir.

@Hyena: Aww, that sucks. I've been having job issues myself. Except for me, I'm looking for a part-time job and nobody's hiring me because I have no retail experience and my former job (even though I was there for two and a half years) is no longer in business. :/
So I've been applying to everything. There is one job at least that looks semi-promising. :yes:

Also, things got much better when I left home. I used to be so much more depressed.

Yeah, I'm going through that, too. I just got fired from my last job (literally one week before I would have qualified for Unemployment) because I had an anxiety attack. And Apple decided they couldn't have that. I'm just a little bitter. But call centers aren't for me anyhow. It's just a bit of a downer that that was the only job that had hired me in three months. >>

I just hope I get a job soon because I need the money to support what I really want to do in life, which is to be a traditional artist/graphic designer. It's expensive! D:
