Ugh they're so...small...and...small. Ever notice that? My gym uniform consits of a tight t-shirt and gym shorts that only cover about a quarter of my thigh. Bleck! Every time i go somewhere after school and dont have time to change my uniform i feel all exposed D: And this is comming from the girl who has changed in public veiw before! I envy the guys uniforms, they have shorts that come down below the knee!

So GD, tell me, what were your highschool gym uniforms like?

We have polo shirts and shorts that go to about the knee... it's not too bad. And that's only the technical uniform, we actually wear whatever we want realy.

Ours were gross. The same uniform for both girls and guys, so all the girls got larger sizes because the female sizes never fit right unless you were a twig. I'd have rather had track pants and a shirt or something. They wouldn't even let us cover up the uniform unless we wasted another $50 on school-supplied pants and/or sweatshirt. The only exception was winter, but we were only allowed a sweatshirt. ugh

I don't get why women can't wear long shorts. D: Do long shorts hinder their athletic ability? They don't hinder mine.

We didn't have a set uniform. It was kind of specified that we had to have, 'white shirt, black shorts'. So there was a fair bit of variation within that. In year 9 we got to wear trousers, jogging bottoms or something like that. Mine were large and long. I hated the PE kit with avengance.

I'm not totally sure, but I think in Elementary school we had uniforms (shirt and shorts) but in High School we were able to bring our own clothes.

Haha, in high school everyone wore big ass t-shirts and shorts in PE. I didn't like wearing the shorts because I don't wear shorts I think they look stupid. My shorts came down over my knee. I think that short shorts were banned at my school and anyone wearing them would be made to change into something else. I knew a guy who wore a dress to school one day and his back was exposed so they made him change. You have a very strange school to make underage girls dress inapropriately.

We don't have uniforms at my school. However, a lot of the girls choose to willingly wear shorts that short, even though it's technically against the dress code. -_-

What is annoying about my gym class, though, is that they oftentimes don't tell us what we'll be doing the next day, so half the time I end up having to bring both my indoor and outdoor P.E. clothing and my swimsuit and everything else required for swimming, along with tennis shoes.

In my high school we had to wear navy blue shorts or track pants and either a gold or dark yellow t-shirt.

Heiress, what's different about indoor and outdoor gear? I always wore the same clothes.

It's not anything we're actually required to do, but ever since we've started going outside, I've been bringing sweatpants and a jacket as well because when it's sunny outside, I normally end up getting a sunburn in like ten minutes. xD

In my old school, we just had to stick with a dress code, which I rarely did, haha. Black shorts and white shirts, and then the rest was negotiable. I was kinda rebellious and wore ripped tights and the wrong t-shirts. Looking back on it, I didn't really have anything to rebel about. ^^;
But then I moved and started at a private school, and like yours, they had their own uniforms which were tiny and revealing. (Except I'm quite skinny but tall so they were baggy and unattractive, haha. I got the other end of the stick.) And we had to buy the uniforms in the first place... my school was such a scam.
And the teachers there were complete and unabashed (is that a word?) perverts. One asked my friend to come home with him, the b*stard. >:(
It was gross and horribly degrading.
..Back on topic, we did get cold and hot weather versions, though. I feel bad for you, it's uncomfortable thinking that such a normal and day-to-day institution is designing clothes for you with um, pervy intentions. I left that school as soon as I could. :/

I am repeatedly shocked at how many schools have dress codes, never mind uniforms.

The high school uniforms were a loose t-shirt and a pair of loose gym shorts. You could also get away with wearing your middle school uniform if that still existed as well if you wore the school's hoodies, sweatpants, or anything that had the school's logo on it. I actually had my gym shorts up until I let a friend borrow them. I never got them back.

Maybe you go to a horrendous private school? My high school uniform was 'wear black bottoms that pass as gym wear' (some sort of shorts or track pants, but not tearaways), and 'wear the school t-shirt in whatever size fits you'. You never had to worry about being exposed where I was. ^^

Hm I went to 3 high schools...
The first one, yeah we had uniforms.
They were these baggy grey tops and super tight shorts. OnO

I hated the shorts because they rode up my legs every two seconds. D;

In my second high school I didn't have gym. >u>
In the third we got to pick our own clothes. xD Which was really really nice.

We weren't assigned bottoms to our gym outfits. But it took me three years to get the guts to wear my short shorts. (: I'm glad I did because that's how I got my current boyfriend. I just ran past him and showed him what I had ;D

The shirts we had were so ugly.. Mine was a small (I wear mediums) and it was STILL too big for me.
It makes everyone look fat.

>_< urg, school gym uniforms.

at my school the girls had mid-thigh length silver shorts, and a white t-shirt with the school logo on the front.

Just in case we forgot where we went to school, I suppose XD

We were allowed to swap the shorts for track pants/yoga pants- and that was the first thing I did.

I can't say I ever wore those shorts- I hated anything that went above my knee with a passion.

For the summer I just rolled up my pants XD

But the biggest reason that I hated those shorts was that when we were sitting in a circle for roll call I kept seeing flashes of every ones underwear >_<
They didn't know how to sit right, I guess. Dumb people.
Mind you, perhaps they liked 'flashing' the boys across the gym............... ew.

I spent a lot of that class looking at the ceiling and the floor, I recall.
We had a lot of trapped balls in the ceiling XD
