Mine was a grey shirt with the schools name and emblem upon it. Then red shorts with yellow embroidery, that went down to our knees, so they weren't too bad really.

I remember my HS gym uniform having baggy shirts and really short shorts DX but lucky by time my senior year they just sold the shirts and said we could wear any shorts we wanted as long as they were athletic. so no more short shorts my senior year XD

We had a choice to either buy the school's gym uniforms or buy our own. They could have been whatever as long the colors were either red, black, gray, or white.

I never knew there were public high schools with gym uniforms... guess we were really lucky. As long as it was athletic-looking, we could bring anything.

I didn't have a high school gym uniform. xD My gym clothes were ones I brought from home and could have been any form of shorts and shirt, as long as I did change into something (probably had to do with sweating and making sure the clothes you liked and wore to school didn't get torn up or dirty). My middle school gym uniform was normal shorts and a baggy shirt, from what I remember. Those were the school colors and had our names printed on them. I don't remember them being hella short, but then again, middle school is a long time away, haha. I could be totally wrong and they were skanky as anything!

You can actually petition your school to have appropriate clothes for gym. I got sick of all of the cheerleaders bouncing around in super short skirts and I petitioned the school to change the length of the skirts(seeing as they did not meet the schools dress code) or make them wear something over them. Next football game, They were walking around with windbreaker pants. XD It was a win.

At the highschool I went to we just brought our own clothes for gym, it had to be a shirt and shorts or track pants of some sort. Other then that it was up to us what we wore.

In Junior High they made us all wear the school shirt in gym, but we the bottoms were up to us (still shorts and track pants). In grade 7 we got to bring in our own shirts, they made us get the school shirt starting when I was in grade 8.

we don't have uniforms of any kind in schools around here, unless it'a a privare school or charter school. i've been out of school for a few years but when i went we chose what we wore usually shorts, that went below the knee, and a t-shirt.

When I was in high school, we didn't have any gym uniforms, we just wore what we wanted. At some point I wouldn't even fully change my clothes and wore shorts over tights, jacket over t-shirt and fishnet gloves on my hands. My gym teacher never opposed, as long as I had sneakers on. :P

Our uniforms were whatever we wanted to wear (within guidelines, like no jeans)

Our middle school uniforms were sweatshorts (which went down to the knee unrolled; girls would hike them up and roll the waistband because they're so high above the waist when pulled up all the way) and tshirts. The sweatshirts were black with a white patch on one leg to write our name on. The tshirts were grey and we had to write our name on the front in big block letters.

I hated wearing shorts >_<

When I was in High School, they just made us wear basketball shorts (of any kind) and a shirt. Didn't really have a uniform that you had to buy to look like everyone else.

shorts and t-shirt.. though I always got the XL ones so it would completely cover me (I'm normally a M or L).. cause otherwise it's waaay too small and tight for my liking..

We weren't required to take gym in high school. If we did, we got to bring our own clothes.

We never were mandated to wear designated high school gym uniforms. But I have worn gym uniforms in middle school, while I attended a private school.
I don't know if the male and female gym uniforms were different, but I do remember the shirts being tight for females and the shorts almost exposing our butts. It could be that the girls in my school were whores though, as they usually manipulated their uniforms for more sex appeal.

I hate my school uniform x__x Your right, its only small and smaller! Everyone has to wear shorts in my school for gym, but is it just me or the girls shorts is way above the knee while guys have it under their knees o . o or maybe all the girls in my school are just too tall but that is impossible x__x

back when I was in high school (last year) for grade 9 we had to wear a uniform for gym. Guys and girls were identical, except girls where smaller. Ugly baggy grey t-shirts with our school logo on the front, with tacky kind of slate/navy/sky blue shorts that came half-way down your thigh, unless you were running, and they slid themselves up your leg. They where annoying! Thankfully for grade 10, (and after that the extended physical education (Sp.Ed(Special Education))classes), we could where whatever we want. So I wore a loose but comfy t-shirt and yoga pants. unless it was cold then I wore sweat pants.

My suck-ish high school insists on this really crappy -- yet expensive -- uniform. Not even just for gym.

For gym, we ALL have to have . . .
  • A black tennis skirt
  • Black shorts
  • A red t-shirt
  • A white t-shirt
  • Red rugby // hockey socks
  • White tennis socks
  • Shin pads (( completely pointless, seeing as we NEVER do ANY contact sport. ¬_¬ ))
  • Black joggers
  • White plimsoles
  • Trainers
  • Gum guard
  • Hockey stick
  • Tennis racket
  • Sweat bands

And then, there's the REGULAR uniform . . .
  • Kilt
  • Tights
  • Socks
  • Black patent shoes
  • Blouse
  • White // rainbow // whatever colour t-shirt
  • Blouse
  • Black cotton jumper // cardigan
  • Blazer

It's getting ridiculous now. All of this costs about £500 + and, considering that we don't even need a lot of it -- and the fact that we're told we HAVE to buy it all from specific shops, all of them ludacrisly expensive -- I'm considering either jumping on a plane to go to school in Amarica instead or just not bothing with education anymore. >.<

I mean, seriously. I don't get it. But your school uniform sounds pretty freaky. Though, in all honesty, if I wasn't so over-weight, I wouldn't mind wearing short-shorts at school. ^^

Woah, I'd be pissed.
Our gym uniform is unisex.
Everyone gets "basketball short" styled shorts(or sweat pants whatever you prefer) and a t-shirt, whatever size you order.
I'm sorry about your uniform though.

I'd be PISSED if I had to wear those daisy duke type shorts.

We just have to wear black bottoms and white tops. I wear black pants instead of shorts because I have gym first hour. -.-
