What kind of a night class are you taking, Wings?

It's my Graduate Research and Methods class. It's required for first year grad students.

They teach you how to do grad research?
I guess that makes sense.

My nephew just started his doctoral degree at Rice University this fall...
I suppose he's got to do something like that too...

Yeah, basically every degree has some sort of research methods block.
I'm not exactly thrilled to be taking this class.

Yea...he had wanted to get into Rice for his undergrad, but he submitted the application too late. He went to Carnegie Mellon instead.

So now Rice accepted him for a fellowship for his doctorate.
He's in Biological Engineering.

Yup...and then for a year after he graduated Carnegie, he worked with a bunch of MIT students on a start up while he was waiting for the Rice professor to get the grants for the fellowship.

He's WAY smarter than I am...but my hubby and I are the ones who told him to go into Biological Engineering, and he listened to us!

yeah. he sounds like a real brilliant person. a lot of those in my family too, but it skipped over me apparently.
